"I feel a certain sense of deja vu...but oh well." Lynda says. "Lets be off."

Operating under the assumption that Spoonweaver is correct and we're all level 10 ('cause hell if I'm gonna go to WikiLeaks to find the dangerous classified information that is the Dungeons and Dragons experience charts!) I updated Voulton's sheet. He hit Class Level 8 and then 9, entitling him to an additional feat, an additional Fighter feat, an additional attribute point which he put into Constitution which gave him +7 to HP for his previous levels, he rolled a +9 between his two HP rolls (two and seven), and received +3 each from constitution for the two new levels for a total gain of +22.
I took Improved Critical for Great Axe and now crit on a 19 in addition to 20 with that weapon. I also took Greater Weapon Focus, gaining an additional +1 to attack swings with that weapon.
http://www.thetangledweb.net/forums/pro ... ?cid=80313 as always.
Voulton sure hopes he doesn't turn into a werewolf, and expresses this fear to anyone who will listen as he guards the camp. Also, unable to resist the lure of time-travel shenanigans, he'll gather and plant whatever acorns he can find in a rough circle around camp. Will they have grown into trees when they get back? Will they even be able to tell? Who knows?! Isn't learning great?

Tammytharn does detect something when she casts detect poison on herself. The results are vague though, Tammytharn can't rule out that she is afflicted with lycanthropy.
It was still dark when Tammytharn, Lynda, and Kalar went out into the forest to search for wolfsbane. Their light sources helped but searching was still slow. As the sun rose they continued searching at a quicker pace. When Lynda pointed out a plant she thought might be wolfsbane they three realized how hopeless their search really was. None of them knew for sure how to tell the different between wolfsbane and other blue flowering plants that look similar. Lynda had found the closer thing they had seen the whole search, so they collected some and returned to camp.
On the way back, a loud explosion could be heard in the distance. It seemed to come from roughly the direction the compass was pointing, but in this forest it was hard to tell the direction of such a sound. Tammytharn, Lynda, and Kalar returned to Rachelle, Voulton, and Hrulgin and confirmed that they had heard it too. None of them knew what it possibly could have been.

"Right, lads, that can't be good. Also, turns out that the plant I mentioned wasn't as easy to find as I had originally thought. Also not good. Two choices open to us, the way I see it. First, we do what we can with this plant and hope that those who were bitten will be able to shake off the affliction. Or two, we deal with that later, and instead go and kill this ur-werewolf first. What say the rest of you?"

"If we ...kill... this werewolf now in the past, and the werewolves vanish from our own time, does that mean the lycanthrop venom vanishes too?

"Well...there's no sense in dawdling in the past." Lynda says. "Shall we seek out the first of the werewolves?"

Kalar thinks about what Tammytharn said. "That... is actually very good logic."
Kalar mounts his pony and says, "Very well, let's be off then. Lynda, my dear, you're the most familiar with the outdoors. Do take point, please. We shall be right behind you."
Kalar also orders his skeletons to flank them, forming a three-column marching party. That way, anything that attacks will have to geth through the skeletons first.

If they collected any blue flowers, Voulton will eat one anyway. What's the worst that can happen, right? Way better than being even more monstrous than he already is. Being half-giant has advantages, makes you a valuable member of the community. Not so much when you make monthly raids on the chicken coops... of all the creatures in the woods, a werewolf is the most fearsome.
Voulton's hopeful though. "They didn't get me too many times, and none of the scratches look TOO bad, right? They're probably exaggerating about the whole getting bit thing... and I was standing up the whole time!". He'll assume a position not too far behind Lynda. He won't vocally doubt her experience, but anyone who'd venture into the great outdoors dressed like that.. well, they need backup, experienced or not.

The morning dew was still fresh as the party walked through the woods. There was a rough trail here. Lynda could see that someone had past through this was very recently. Voulton didn't feel an affects from the blue flower, ill or otherwise. It didn't taste too bad though, so he thought about eating another. Tammytharn worried about him though. Of all the members of the party, he had the worst wounds. It was likely he didn't know it himself as the biggest of his bit marks was on the back of his right shoulder. If anyone was afflicted, it would be him. She also thought about the little bit she knew about wolfsbane. The plant seemed like it was right, but the she knew that in order for it to work wolfsbane had to be taken right after a werewolf bite. Had it been too long?
Rachelle had felt something before that had been on her mind since the day before. Killing the werewolf earlier with the quarterstaff Galse gave her made her feel differently than killing had before. Shouldn't couldn't quite place the reason behind. Perhaps the quarterstaff held secrets not yet detected.
Kalar spent most of his attention while traveling on his new minions. His new skeletons and ghosts had all come to him in a very small amount of time. He had not yet familiarized himself with them all and took this time to get a better understanding of them all.
Lynda was the first to spot it. A campsite was up ahead. Lynda looked at the firepit, it had been used last night. Lynda looked around the campsite trying to determine more about the ones that stayed here. One of them seemed very large, like a horse. A footprint in the dirt made it clear. A giant was here.
Just then, another explosion was heard in the woods. This time it was closer.

Lynda takes off her amulet to look around, just to see if there's anything hiding...
"Dare we pursue that explosion?" She asks the party.

"Let's make a quick search of this campsite first. Might have some clues as to what exactly that explosion was. But just a quick search, I'd rather we get this over with before nightfall and the full moon."

You can tell a lot about a guy by what he throws away. Voulton will dig through the firepit and see if he can find anything among the ashes that the mystery camper might've gotten rid of, or wanted to get rid of. "We should get after that noise quickly. It might be coming this way."

Lynda takes off her amulet and looks around the campsite. No hidden people could be seen. While looking around, Lynda notices large gouges in the trees above, as if something climbed or flew through them. There are also a few sets of humanoid prints, insect prints, and what could be large reptile prints that appear out of nowhere.
Voulton searches the fire. He finds a large bone. It could be from a bear or maybe a horse. It looks to have been chewed on. No one else finds anything of note.
The party continued on. Not far off Lynda spotted a monster on the top of a large rock formation. It looked like a lion with spikes all over it's body and large batwings. It sat about 100ft away and didn't seem to notice the party yet. Movement behind the monster revealed the wings and tails of two more of the beasts.

"Right, lads. Might be best if we take care of these things now. I'd rather we didn't have them attacking us from behind while we face the werewolf. Lynda, my dear, perhaps you could sneak around to the side? That way, you can snipe them."
"Voulton and Rachelle could attack head-on, while Tammy supports them with her magic. I'll circle around the other way, opposite of Lynda and hit them with spells from that direction. An attack from three fronts."
"What say you?"

Unless the rest of the party objects, Voulton agrees with Kalar's plan
