"...Really?" She asks, somewhat stunned. "Well...if that's you're test, I suppose I'll abide by it."
"May I at least know your name before I attempt to...decapitate you?" She says. She then reaches to take the giants sword, and will attempt to decapitate the giant.

Rachelle steps out of the room, not willing to see how badly this could end up going.
An elf, trying to decapitate a giant? Really? Lynda would never be able to get the sword up to his neck, much less have the physical strength to carry out the task.

Lynda swings the sword at the giant. The sword jerks itself in the direction of the giant's neck but comes short and hits the giant in the shoulder. The sword bounces off as if it hit stone. Lynda swings again and the sword bounces off the giant as if he was invincible. The giant now has his normal sword in his hand and he stabs lynda.
"I'm known simply as the Green Knight."
Lynda takes 7 dmg.

Kalar is wary. If the statues are back, then perhaps the other fellow is back as well, that one who turned into a giant.
Carefully, he goes to just outside of Charles' door and says, "Charles, it's me, Kalar. I don't want you to be alarmed, I was hit by a curse and turned into a werewolf, but I retain all of my mental abilities and you have my word that I will not harm you. I have your gold, and all of your books. Do I have your permission to enter?"

Charles looks bewildered. "I don't know what you're talking about. If you have anything to do with these skeletons delivering heaps of gold please making them stop. They have trampled over many rare scrolls and I was about to destroy them for it. Take all of this and leave, you clearly have the wrong Charles. I've never met anyone with an odd name like Kalar before."

"Charles, listen to me. A few days ago, you told me that over time, you would forget things that had happened. You have a sister named Madeline who you buried recently. You have an intelligent sword. We spoke days ago, and you told us to help in breaking the curse of the Clovers.
"Charles, you are an intelligent man, now think. If we had not met previously, how would I know these things? You have my word that I am telling the truth and that I will not hurt you."

"Augh!" Lynda shouts. "It's like he's made of stone! What the hell are you even made of?!"
She was foolish enough to agree, so she has to finish the job.
She tries to climb the giant and cuts it head off with the sword.

Charles thinks for a bit. "Why are these skeletons bringing me all this gold?"
Lynda attempts to climb up to cut at the giant despite the sword being easily long enough to reach his neck. She misses horribly and the Giant takes the oppurtunity to stab her. Then he stabs her again.
Lynda takes 15 dmg.

Things are getting grim.
"You offer us help, but instead try to butcher us?!" She shouts. "If I had known it would end this way, I would have never agreed and went on!"
Lynda tries again to decapitate the giant normally, with the sword.

Lynda, feeling that this whole test was a trap, gives in a bit. She puts a lttle less effort into her swing. The sword takes over. It steers itself cleanly through the giants neck. His head slides off and the giant falls to the ground.
A silver key magically appears in the middle of the room, in the middle of the air. It falls to the ground.

"We had an agreement. You needed some books, and I wanted to take that sword off your hand. I agreed to bring you books and 25,000 gold in exchange for your sword. Does this mean you believe me?"

Lynda looks over at the key, and then picks it up. She then sighs.
"I was that close." She says. "To being a red stain on a green floor. The next time a giant asks to be decapitated, I won't be the one doing it. There's one last key we need, and it's on Claude's neck. I can take you to him if you want to try and ask him for it."

Charles agrees to the exchange. "Here put the gold in this. It's a bag of holding. Be careful with this sword." The skeletons start filling the bag and Charles starts looking over the books. "Just the books I was looking for, great."

"Thank you for believing me. I did learn though, that that sword is supposed to be cursed? That it could possess people?"

"Yea, he tries to overtake me every time I draw him. He had me for a couple of years a while back. I'm pretty sick of him. I had plans to stick him in some hidden chest in the castle, but you paying for him is much better. You have him so please leave with him. I don't want someone else wielding him anywhere near me." Charles waves away Kalar's other questions. "The skeletons seem to be done with their delivery job, thank you and have a great day," said Charles as he ushered Kalar out of his room and shut the door behind him.
