Kytana then says:

I have heard Dragons are a noble and wise race of beings, yet, You eat us without first trying to gain knowledge.

Ehaism wrote:I think just he thanked us for delivering ourselves to be his breakfast.

To the dragon, Ehaism paraphrases Kytana's suggestion.

Wise and noble dragon! Wouldn't you like to learn about us and share your knowledge with us rather than eat us?

Ehaism wonders why Vire is just standing there.

Snapping out of his reverie, Vire blasts the beast with a Scorching Ray before dashing off to the east a bit.

The dragon looks at the travelers. It's seems they might be of some use to him beyond just breakfast. After all, they've brought him a large ox that should fill him up for a week or two. He begins to try and think of ways to better put these little pests to work.
Then the littlest one shoots him in the chest with a scorching ray and runs off. (32 dmg) <--corrected
The dragon looks pissed.

It doesn't seem like Kytana is going to be able to reason with the dragon at this point. He'll have to think of something else.

Ribbon decides that she wants a bit of space, and steps away from Ehaism. She uses her psionic powers to Call Weaponry to her aid. A pulsating gash in the fabric of time and space opens in midair, from which she pulls a Trident, still glowing from the ether.

Now armed with the ability to attack from some range, she feels ever-so-slightly more confident.

Ehasim exhales sharply. He feels intensely relieved. he had placed himself in the uncomfortable position of negotiating with this giant deadly beast, and now Vire has released him from the obligation to continue. Vire would have risen in Ehaism's esteem, except that Ehaism is also angry that Vire, tiny kobold has shown him up by behaving in a more barbarian manner than himself.

Talking probably wouldn't have worked out anyway. Time for all the world to perish in a blaze of glory! Ehaism flies into a Barbarian Rage

He intends to attack the dragon directly and immediately, as brutally as he is able.

Kytana delays his action to see what Ehaism and Ribbon will do, he readies himself to spring into action right after them.

Ehaism flies into a rage and charges the dragon. This provokes an attack from the dragon, but Ehaism's barbarian speed carries him out of the way of the dragons claw and toward the dragon's belly. Ehaism lashes out and strikes the dragon square in the side. (7 dmg)

Ribbon gets ready to fight the dragon by summoning a psionic weapon, and steps into a strategic position.




All eyes on Kytana now as he readies the last action before the dragon's inevitable onslaught.

kytana says:

Do we still have the map, if so, offer it to him!

With a splatter of white dragon blood on his sword, Ehaism shouts angrily at Kytana:

SHOOT! SHOOT HIM NOW!

kytana shoots him, spatting on the ground.

Kytana aims at the dragon and fires. His attack bounces off the dragon's scales.

The dragon roars with anger.

The ox and wagon look panicked. Ehaism, vire, & kytana looks shaken.
(-2 on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks)

The dragon rears up and prepares to unleash a flurry of attacks on Ehaism. First, it bites him on the shoulder. (9 dmg)
Then it goes to claw him, but stumbles and almost lands prone. This seems to make it lose it's poise for a moment.

The ox runs off taking the wagon with it.



The party must attack!
Go Vire, Kytana, Ehaism, & Ribbon !

Vire feels like a pale imitation of the dragon that stands before him, and his very bones are shaken by the dragon's roar. He fires another Scorching Ray at the dragon, unable to bring himself to move.

Ehaism will attack. Kill or be killed.

Ribbon closes to Trident range, and attacks the dragon with all her might, expending her psionic focus to make the trident a more powerful psionic weapon
