Both Kytana and Vire fire at the Brain-Dog-like-creature. Both missile weapons hit their mark perfectly. However, they don't seem to penetrate the shiny membrane covering the cerebral menace.
The monster glistens and seems to release some sort of foreign energy. A thought travels through the minds of both Ehaism and Ribbon. If the dwarf had one of these things in him, then it's possible more people have them, maybe even themselves. ( Ehaism and Ribbon and now both confused )
In his confused state, Ehaism lashes out at Ribbon, who he just realized came at about the same time as the elf lady who he assumes was the original carrier. He strikes Ribbon in the chest with his mighty sword. (12 damage)
Ribbon had been thinking, " If the dwarf was the leader, and he was really an evil brain trying to kill us, then maybe we're all evil brains. But then why is the leader brain trying to kill us. And didn't the lizard guy say the dwarf wasn't the leader. Than whose the leader, the lizard guy? And if he's really the leader then maybe he's also a...." Then she was hit with Ehaism's sword. Basically, justifying her strange line of thought with his attack, she attacks back in a fury. However, she misses.
Things are looking bleak. Hopefully the rogue and the sorcerer and come up with a plan to help their "friends".

The creature is engulfed in the fire shooting out of Vire's finger tips. The membrane covering the brain seems to freeze for a moment and protects the creature.
All eyes on Kytana.

Kytana
charges in. With her longsword ready she thrusts at the beats. But misses.
The Legged Brain turns toward Ribbon and lets out a screeching sound. Ribbon's ego is assaulted by a rapid mental lashing. ( 6 points of charisma damage )
Ehaism and Ribbon babble incoherently, but then snap out of their confusion.
Hopefully, Vire has a plan.

Vire's plan is limited to blasting the thing with the wand of magic missiles. Vire uses his extensive knowledge of spellcraft to remember whether wands have a limited number of charges.

The Intellect Devourer decides to continue assaulting Ribbon's Ego. Ribbon succumbs to these attacks and is struck unconscious. (6 points of charisma damage) Then the thing steps back, away from the group.
The party regroups and is ready to attack this thing with everything they've got.

As Ehaism's mind returns to him, he realizes that he has just sliced Ribbon pretty badly, and now she has collapsed? Did he kill her? Ehaism decides that he probably did.
Although he is not categorically opposed to the concept of murdering his friends, he feels like that sort of thing should be his own decision to make. He is enraged that the brain beast has forced him to do this.
Ehaism flies into a barbarian rage and will [when his turn comes] do what a berserking barbarian does best-- kill! ... but the monster this time!

Ehaism unleashes his anger at the brain in the form of a wild attack. He connects, and the brain is hurt. ( 4 damage
after dr)
Kytana rushes up behind the beast and attempts to sneak in an attack useing his flanking ally as cover. His hit wounds the beast. (2 damage
ad)
Can Vire bring this thing down, or will it attack again with devastating results? Only time will tell.

Ehaism intends to just keep on attacking until he has a really good reason to stop... (and it being already dead might not even be a good enough reason)

Vire's missiles of magic connect with the creature for damaging results. ( 5 damage )
The brain uses a power that seems to make it's claws bigger and more dangerous.
Ehaism Attacks! A solid hit! (3 damage ad)
Can [s]Ribbon[/s], Kytana, or Vire stop the brain dog from using this new power, or will it's claws be someone's doom?

Vire fires another blast before retreating a few paces. He doesn't like the look of the thing's new claws.

Kytana decides to switch back to the bow and arrow. He readies a shot and fires at the brain beast. Apparently unaware of the distance between the beast and himself, kytana provokes an attack. The attack misses Kytana by only the width of a hair and Kytana gets his attack off. The point blank shot
hits dead on, but can't get past the enemy's protective shield.
Vire steps back from the melee. He knows, if that thing gets a hold of him he won't last long. He then fires off his wand again, hoping it's charges can hold out. Vire's magic missile connects. ( 7 damage )
The intellect devourer rears back. Its keen abilities seem to point it in the direction of the small kobold that's been bombarding it with magic missiles. Despite the kobold's attempt at fleeing, the beast charges forward at alarming speed. It's disregard for Ehaism at that moment, give the lizardman a chance to attack. His attack connects with the beast's back left leg, but the beast's protective coating soaks up all but a very small amount of damage. ( 1 damage ad ) Then the creature closes in on Vire and strikes. Luckily for the kobold, the strike was unsuccessful.
Ehaism, followed by Kytana and Vire now have to strike while the creature is experiencing a bout of bad luck.
