Rounding a corner Vire spots the elf lady and Gregor. They're a good distance into the cave, and without darkvision it would near impossible to see. They have just stopped in the middle of a good sized cavern. The dwarf rubs his hands together and looks to the elf for "the finally go ahead". She nods and he quick begins taking his clothes off. However, while Gregor is busy disrobing, the elf lady uses the same ability she used in battle against the Thri-kreen. With nearly a sound, Gregor now lays helpless on the ground.

Ehaism wrote:Bonking? You think so?
Ehaism knows exactly what that word means in this context.
He is slightly nauseated by the mental image of their tangled writhing pink tailless bodies.
Ehaism wrote:But... Where will they find the reeds and mud to build the coital nest for her to lay the eggs in?

Vire is shocked -- not by Gregor's death so much as the elf's murder. He weighs his options and decides that while he could probably kill the elf, he's better off warning the others. They might be able to subdue and interrogate her.
Vire summons a fiendish monstrous scorpion and commands it to attack the elf while he makes a hasty retreat, hoping to remain unseen all the while. Liev stays on guard atop the entrance of the cave: out of view to anyone exiting the cave, but able to alert Vire of anyone entering or leaving.
Upon arriving at camp, Vire explains the situation to Ehaism and anyone else that might be in earshot.

Ehaism is skeptical.
Ehaism wrote:Are you sure he is really dead? Maybe the dwarf just likes that kind of rough bonking.

A few minutes later, while Vire and Ehaism return to the cave. Gregor exits the cave mouth and meets them.
Gregor smiles at the two.
Gregor wrote:The elf tried to kill me. So I took care of her.
Then he returned to camp and laid down to sleep without another word.

Ehaism to Vire wrote:See? I told you he wasn't dead. They were just... Wait? Did he just say he killed her?

Vire stares slackjawed at Gregor momentarily, then turns to Ehaism.
Vire wrote:Something's not right. Let's check out the cave and see if the elf's corpse is in there.

Ribbon wrote:There's something fishy here. That dwarf couldn't kill a kobold.
Uh. Present company excluded. Or included, because he couldn't kill....but, it's a phrase in....I didn't....He's a wimp, and he can barely hop. Something's not right.
Ribbon sidles over to Ehasim, mainly to get distance from Vire.
Ribbon wrote:But maybe they just had a fight, and he's trying to sound tough?

Upon inspecting the cave, the group finds the elf's body. Her head is completely broken open, and she very noticeably seems to be missing her brain.

Ribbon wrote:Jeez, and I always thought "I boinked her brains out" was hyperbole. Thanks, mom.
So, unusually stupid elf - and that's a low bar indeed! - or unusually hungry dwarf?

Ehaism is deeply unnerved by all this deadly brain boinking business.
Ehaism wrote:If we didn't still need him to find the treasure, I would go cut off his head while he sleeps.

Vire hisses.
Vire wrote:I saw what I saw. I say we kill him now -- we avenge Echo -- and we cut our losses. I bet we can get some good money for that ox.

Ehaism jumps, startled by Kytana's voice in the dark cave. He had mistakenly assumed that Kytana had stayed outside.
Ehaism wrote:If we are all in here, who is watching the "dwarf"? Vire, you can see better, see if you can figure out what happened here... I am going back out. I don't feel safe leaving him alone... And one of you come with me, I don't feel safe being alone with him...
Ehaism then stops a second to think about what Vire says...
