THE CAMPAIGN: Chapter 1-"The Dragons in the Desert"

[Bob the Hamster]

Ehaism gets up without saying anything to anybody. He goes outside and looks around.

[Spoonweaver]

It looks like it's close to noon. You must have overslept. A beggar is sitting on the road to the north. He's looking at you with shifty eyes. Then, a man gets thrown out a doorway. It seems he got kicked out of the local bar. He looks beaten and unconscious.

[Bob the Hamster]

Ehaism yawns and stretches in the sunlight, and then wanders in the direction of the unconscious man. He seems mildly interesting.

[Mogri]

Vire calls for Ehaism. When Ehaism fails to appear, he grumbles and looks around for a better way to access the balcony.

[Spoonweaver]

The unconscious man is laying face down in the road. He's sporting a green tunic. A hat sits on his back, having been thrown out of the bar shortly after the man was. The man is bleeding a bit.

The bar's atmosphere seems mild. As if, this sort of thing happens all the time.

Could you spare a few coins son? I need to hire a mercenary to regain my lost fortune. Once I get it back I'll be sure to reward you for your kindness.

Vire can't seem to find anything to help him clear the way to the balcony. Even if he cleared the path, the boards blocking the door are firmly nailed in place. It might be easier to just climb up to the balcony from the outside. Echo and Kytana seem deep in conversation, but might be willing. Echo seems to get up with the idea of getting food, however. So he'll most likely be heading to the bar right across the way soon.

[Bob the Hamster]

The unconscious man in green was less interesting than Ehaism suspected. he sniffs at the smells coming from the bar, and then wanders back to the building to see what Vire had been whining about when Ehaism was on his way out.

When he passes Echo, he says:

There is a bar with food over there. Get me something too.

And then as an afterthought:

Thank you.

Then to Vire:

What did you want?

[Mogri]

Vire calls out from the window.

Hey, you wanna knock a door down? I know you wanna knock a door down.

[Momoka]

Echo heads across the street and into the bar, and looks around to get a feel for it.

[Spoonweaver]

As Vire and Ehaism prepare to knock down a door to a small balcony, which they have a clear view of from the road. Echo strolls into the local bar.

An orge greets you with a cold stare. He doesn't say anything, and seems more interested in his beer than in you. There are a few other bar patrons sitting around. There's a dwarf to your left as you enter looking at maps. There are 2 people that seem to be whispering to each other and staring at you. There are 3 hooded men sitting in the corner to your right. There's also a man sitting at the bar. The bartender looks at you as if expecting you to come and order, but not making any effort to greet you.

kytana quickly follows the party, not wanting to be left behind.

[Spoonweaver]

Kytana runs out into the street and runs in a circle a couple of times while he trys to figure out whether to follow echo, or vire/ehaism.

[Bob the Hamster]

When Ehaism understands which door Vire wants him to bash down, he gives Vire a harsh scowl. Is this a trick? he wonders.

Ehaism walks back downstairs and back into the street. Then he tries to decide whether it would be better to climb (+5) or to Jump (+7) up to the balcony.

He decides to jump, on account of it seeming more fun, and if he fails and falls on his tail, he will try climbing next.

[Mogri]

Vire gives up and saunters outside.

Echo!

[Spoonweaver]

Vire comes outside in time to see Ehaism sucessfully climb up to the balcony. On the balcony Ehaism discovers a box with the skeletons of a kobold and some of dog sized large in it, 2 gems, 350 gold, and a bejeweled rapier.

Kytana joins Echo in the bar, just as he's deciding what to do there.
