Since the whole Wiki is getting updated, maybe it's finally time to update the Bob in bandages pic. It's been several years since he got shot that one time.

Oh, how lonely the Recent Changes page is :( It's too bad everyone is working on their games! Maybe we need to wait and revive this effort after the end of the HotOHR contest.

If this effort is stalled, then I am going to copy the new main HOWTO page to "New HOWTO" and then revert it. I've already promoted the old HOWTO chapter list back, temporarily. I really don't like having copied articles around, so I would turn:
Chapter 1 - Keyboard Conventions into a redirect to the identical Keyboard Shortcuts
Part 1 - Using Map Layers to Using Map Layers
Chapter 17 - Distributing a Game to Distributing a Game

Really, there's no point in having two different pages if there's no need for them to be non-identical even if they belong to two different HOWTOs. There should only be a single copy of each article on the wiki, unless the old HOWTO is worth keeping around (for example if the new HOWTO is written like a manual rather than a tutorial like the old one). And actually, I'm not so keen on that naming scheme (what if you want to insert new chapters?) maybe they could be subpages of "New HOWTO" and moved when done; or the other way away: move all existing articles under "Old HOWTO" and replace the redirects as pages are actually created with differing content.

I would strongly suggest that anyone making improves to an existing article do so by editing the article in the OLD HOWTO rather than making a modified copy of it, unless they're going to do a rewrite. The only article which there are currently two versions of is Moving on to Map Construction/Chapter 4 - Map Construction

I wouldn't say wait until the end, but rather wait for each one to get finished with their submissions.

Actually been working on new pages, but doing them all in a text editor on my machine first, as I find editing on the actual Wiki to be rather tedious. I've gone through a couple of chapters, and I'll prolly have them up this weekend.

Teacher by profession, though I do most of my work at home now, working with distance learning. Gives me a lot of flexibility with how I allocate my time
