the stuff i suggested wasnt really nessisary, i just thought they might be a nifty little update. an example of the random attack style would be the water burst attack in super mario rpg. i could make an animated gif of what it could look like and post it.
Blip.

Though I don't much use OHR, one thing I'd love to see is the built-in battle system with a turn-based mode. Y'know, go under bit-sets and change battles from "Active Time Battle" to "Turn-Based Battle". I feel it'd be essentially the same thing, only whenever an enemy attacks or a player has a turn, everyones' ready meter pauses, and after an action, fast-forwards until the next action happens.
Or maybe even different styles of turn-based systems. The one I just described could be called "Charge Time Battle", like how Final Fantasy Tactics called it. How about an even more old-school system where you choose a command for everyone in your team, then all of the actions occur in order depending on speed stat! Y'know, like Earthbound. However, under that system, some aspects probably wouldn't work, like attack delay. Though that could instead add a penalty to that attack to make it later in the "action-queue".

Already possible, though a bit clunky. ("Pause on all battle menus" feature)Machu wrote:Though I don't much use OHR, one thing I'd love to see is the built-in battle system with a turn-based mode. It pauses on all battle menus. The only clunky part is if you want to wait for another ally's turn to pop up, you have to hold the cancel button.
