Catt starts checking the shadowy room for traps.

As Catt proceeds into the room, she catching something move out of the corner of her eye to her right. In a flash, the demon is latched on to Catt biting and clawing. Catt is tightly grappled with the demon.

Catt takes 27 points of damage.

If Slickens sees that (and he'd be a piss-poor chaser if he didn't) he lets out a blood-crazed howl and starts throwing hands.

Kamaron brings Compassion to bear and lines his shot up with the demon's face before unleashing a blast of bright light, hopefully between the creature's eyes.

Unable to reach her rapiers, Catt struggles to break the grapple.

"Buck.... BuCAWW!" She wheezes.

Jolted with adrenline, Horace quickly moves in, "You will unhand her!"

He then casts Freedom of Movement to grant Catt the power to slip out of the demon's grasp.

Sigmund draws his mace, raises it triumphantly, and moves in to attack.

"Let Pelor's light shine, and prepare thyself for oblivion!"

Cat escapes the Demon's clutches as blows rain down on the beast. Slickens runs in and pummels the thing. Renold slashes at i with his magical blades. Catt gains her footing and manages to land an attack, missing with the other. Sigmund, empowered by his god, lands a massive blow on the creature. Karamon too seemed to be filled with holy energy as he struck, hitting the beast in the head.
The demon struck back. Tumbling towards Karamon, hitting Karamon twice and Sigmund once.
The two cloaked party members and John had hung back towards the entrance.

23 dmg to Karamon
10 dmg to Simund

Gritting her teeth and saying nothing, Catt moves to flank the demon between herself and Slickens, and then she attacks again.

Letting out another obnoxiously loud howl that echoes throughout the halls, in honor of the monkeys who taught him the following technique, banana-stealing bastards though they may've been, Slickens prepares.

He brings his hands to his face, ruffling his wild black hair into an even less organized configuration. And then he throws his little goblin hands at the enemy, a feint here, a jab there, a vicious flurry of blows, the dreaded monkey-knuckles!

"I take the blow and grunt in pain. I am getting far too old for this... Instead of resisting, I let the blow knock me down to my back. As I'm falling, I bring Compassion up again, focusing it on the demon's... crown jewels, as it were. I call out to my comrades:"

"Cover me!"

"Before I hit the ground, I let loose another blast of concentrated white light to hopefully tear into the creature. As the blast leaves Compassion, I hug my shield to chest and tucking my head in to minimize the impact when I hit the ground and to perhaps lessen any attacks I may take as the demon inevitably tries to claw at me once more."

Right now, Kamaron's fairly vulnerable having gone for the crotch shot, so there's a good chance he might snuff it next round =p

Horace shifts around the Demon to place himself in front of it, but also where it will have difficulty getting past him to get to Karamon. He lifts his sword and strikes it downward.

1D20+6+5+1 => (19 + 6 + 5 + 1) = 31

Crit confirm: 1D20+6+5+1 => (18 + 6 + 5 + 1) = 30

"You'll be the next to slumber in this tomb!"

Sigmund continues to assault the beast with his holy mace.

The battle continues as Catt and Slickens both flank the demon. Catt and Slickens both land hits as does Sigmund. Catt skewers the demonic foe horribly while it's attention is elsewhere. Horace manages a mighty hit with his sword, plunging it deep into the monster's chest while moving to protect Karamon. Karamon too attacks the beast, scoring a good hit.
By the time Renold raises his blades to attack, the demon is already clearly dead.

Horace deals 21

Aside from the clay pots on the ground, and the bars lining the walls, there is also another door in this room. The door looks to be a simple wooden door with bars on it.
