The seneschal watches as everyone leaves the castle. Once outside, you are escorted past the portcullis and the wall. The guards resume their posts, and make it rather clear through intimidating body-language, that your return is not yet quite welcome.
Right now, you can go through the city and buy whatever it is you need, head for the inn recommended by the seneschal, head for some other inn, or head for the temple.
Of course, you could always just ignore the curse and head off in a completely different direction.

Tim-Tim looks about at his haggard party. They're all either nursing minor injures, busy trying to adjust to their new equipment, or slightly confused by the situation they've found themselves in. Though he hates the idea of spending more time in this town that enslaved him, he hates the idea of being ambushed and killed even more. Thus, he not only goes to the INN the little halfing is urging the party towards, he uses his charismatic ways to silently usher the rest of the his distracted companions to the INN for the night.
Once there he gets himself a nice cozy room, studies his spell leaflet that was tucked safely into his inner robe pocket and then he goes to bed, letting his magical frog sleep on the pillow next to him.

Your party makes its way past the roads and houses. Asking for occasional directions, you arrive at the inn the the seneschal recommended. It's made mostly of wood, but the floor is at least tiled with cut stone so it's not too damp. It doesn't look like a fine establishment, but it looks clean enough.
There are around seven tables in the room, each with four chairs surround it. The place is lit with lanterns, and the east wall features a fireplace with a roaring fire. It's warm inside, a bit stuffy, but nothing unbearable. The western side of the room features a long bar where a couple of men sit in animated conversation over a bottle of ale each. A large, hulking, behemoth of a man is behind the bar cleaning glasses. He's easily seven feet tall, and the massive muscles on him show that he's probably not just an innkeeper and that he doubles as the bouncer as well.

He sees your party enter and grunts in acknowledgement. He motions you to a table, and when you're seated, he walks over to you and says:

Peanut shifts his eyes and holds up his hand flat to shield his voice and whispers to whoever party member is next to him to hear, "...I think that bracelet means they're watching us."
Not planning on causing trouble even if they weren't watched, Peanut orders himself some food and whatever they have in their brewery that has that distinctive cheap taste. He would proceed to agree with whatever the party finds the best room arrangement and chip in if asked to.

The innkeeper's eyes narrow, as if in anger, but then his features soften and he says:
[qupte="Innkeeper"]And I'm telling the story, so that you know just what kind of person you're dealing with. I would give my life for Ileran, as would many of the people here. Consider it fair warning.[/quote]
He stands up again, and smiles.
He leans in close, face just inches away from Beardthar.innkeeper wrote:You must be new then. Those of us here connected to the seneschal rarely, if ever, talk about him in the open, and I suggest you do the same. But in answer, yes, I am a friend of his, or as close to a friend as he can have I suppose. He save my life once though, but that was decades ago. I was just a young scallywag back then, green around the gills and new to adventuring. Couldn't have been much more than eighteen I suppose. This was before he settled down in Aeleon, and I was part of his adventuring company in search of some treasure or the other. It didn't go too well, we were ambushed by mohrgs in this one temple, three of us died right away. Ileran managed to hold off a couple of them while Jimen, she was our cleric, held off another three. Jimen didn't make it, but Ileran held them off long enough to make sure I escaped with my life. I'm ashamed to say that when he told me to run, I didn't think twice and I high-tailed out of there as fast as I could. I thought he was long-dead, but not a week later, I stumbled across what I thought was his body. He'd been blinded by the mohrg's tongues, and he was almost too weak to move. I brought him here, to Aeleon, and helped nurse him back to health. I've been loyal to him ever since.
