Heh, I read them. I just couldn't find the book reference on the webpage.
A big part of every class are the feats are other things that go with it. I wanted to read up on what options you had as a chameleon. Prestige classes can get out of hand pretty quickly if the DM doesn't know what he's dealing with.

With that in mind, are any of the rest of you planning on taking a prestige class any time soon?

A prestige class is basically like a promotion from old games like Final Fantasy or Shining Force.
They are classes that are, in a way, slightly better than the base classes, or offer abilities that a player could otherwise not get.
In order to take a prestige class, you first need to find one that you think would best suit your character. Then, you have to get your character to a point where he fulfills all of the prestige classes' requirements. Finally, you simply take a level of the class as you would a base class.
Only one prestige class is normally allowed per character. As is the case in this campaign.

Ribbon is probably going to become an Elocater in a few levels, and start running across dimensions.

Oh, an Elocater. Nice choice.

@Twin and mj: If you haven't already, please familiarize yourself with the campaign. I plan to have your characters join in a way that may only make since if you've read parts of the campaign. It might make sense in any case however.... but still. Your backstory is your own to make up, but I'll be controlling your more resent actions for obvious reasons.

this is what i have so far:

Lao joins the party to search for the dragon's hoard not for monetary gain, or for glory, but purely for vengeance. as a child, Lao's remote village Siangpin was attacked by raiders. his father, who managed to escape the immediate area (but is killed shortly thereafter), set Lao adrift down a river in a wicker basket. Lao floats away to safety, as his village burns to the ground, leaving no survivors. he floats for days, before the basket finally gets stuck on a fallen tree branch. luckily for him, this branch just happened to fall off of the tree standing in front of the Quinlong Temple, a religious sect devoted to the halfling sun god, Pelor (Pelor is not exclusively worshipped by halflings, mind you). the monks of the temple find the child in his blood-soaked blanket, and take him in as one of their own. one such high-ranking monk, Sheng Long, personally raises him like a father figure.

Lao grows up in this monastery, learning the hymns and passages dedicated to the fruitful harvests and such that is Pelor. however, Lao has little interest in this. Sheng Long realizes that his true potential cannot be tapped in the boring lifestyle of a temple monk. thusly, Sheng Long, incidentally the martial arts instructor, begins to teach Lao the ways of the warrior monk. it shortly becomes apparent that Lao has a natural talent in this form of meditation. he quickly rises through the ranks to become Sheng Long's greatest and most favored pupil.

one day, while returning from privately meditating upriver, he finds the temple on fire. bloody bodies of monks litter the ground outside, their bodies cut and burned... Lao's repressed memories as an infant become more vivid. he runs inside. upon entering, he sees them; even though they are facing away from them, he recognizes them. these are the exact same men who slaughtered his village. now, they surround Lao's master, Shen Long. Lao calls out to him in fear. Shen Long hears his voice, and turns around. blood spatters his face. a knife drips blood from his hand. his eyes seem different... cold, distant. Sheng Long shouts "There he is! Kill him quickly before he escapes!" the raiders turn. their faces seem almost inhuman. one of them charges him with a gigantic axe. Lao quickly ducks down to counter him, flipping him over his back, then quickly turns to snap his neck. taking the axe, he quickly runs out the doors of the temple and closes them. holding them shut with all his might, he slides the axe handle into the door handles, holding them shut as the raiders pound on the doors with their fists and weapons. Lao runs and runs, leaving the temple behind as the doors burst open and the raiders pour out. betrayed, he finally stops to rest in a forest. he cannot believe these turn of events. could it be that Sheng Long was responsible for the destruction of his home in the first place?

determined to find an answer, Lao searches the world. Sheng Long is nowhere to be found. he searches for almost a year before he finally finds a lead. he finds a man, an ex-monk, who knows where to find the Long family. he agrees to tell him, on one condition: he must prove he is capable of defeating Sheng Long, lest all of his efforts be for naught. to do this, Lao must retrieve a mere scroll from the lair of a dragon. the man says that if Lao cannot defeat a dragon, he has no hope of defeating Sheng Long. Lao has no choice but to accept. however, he has heard rumors that the dragon's hoard is no longer guarded... could it be that he is being betrayed again? or is this a test in itself? shaking off his worries, he moves forward, hoping to finally uncover the truth and at last exact his revenge...

kinda long, i know. i also added the backstory to my character sheet. hope it works out with the campaign.

Spells/day: 6/6/4 -> 6/6/5/3
Saving throws: 1/1/4 -> 2/2/5
