Thanks! Your stuff is pretty dang creative; imagining a pencil as a hard-shelled enemy brought me back to that terrible game we used to play in school, where you take turns attempting to shatter one another's pencils by striking them with your own pencil. Then, the guy whose pencil breaks has to get...

Is there some precedent for this being in General Discussion? Seems like it might get more attention in the main game discussion forum. It is pretty relevant to game design after all.

For what it's worth, I plan to join in this as it'll definitely motivate me to get some enemy sprites done. I propose we start on May 1st? That'll give me time to decide what perspective I want my game's battles to be in...

Tyrion, I'm a pusher for larger sprite sizes as well, but the "walktall" script that's available in the game list really does do the job perfectly. Once you run it, it's seamless. It's best when combined with the three-frame walk. I'm sure bigger sprites will be natively implemented one da...

Hey, this is a super-belated reply ((thread necromancy)). You have to... examine the diary on Pennybags' nightstand, make sure you've talked to him, and then examine the evil statue in his storeroom (a few rooms before Pennybags' room) . Also, I could have sworn I fixed the clock room bug. Maybe I n...

http://www.pixelfor.me/crc/81351833 -- this is a cool tool for creating well-balanced color ramps. I used it to create an entire palette. Mess with the sliders on there and you can have it do either single-hue ramps or hue-shifted ones that conform to a nice progression of brightness/saturation. Coo...

Hey, I don't think this bug is exclusive to the release candidate, but:

- Re-ordering heroes from the menu breaks the walktall script. It reverts the hero sprite to its normal walkabout.

Random cosmetic thing: "poison register" appears to be called the "posion register" when selecting target stats for attacks.

TMC: I confirmed it happens when using gfx_directx. Pepsi: I'm using CCC to control color, or at least I was, because one of my monitors just plain has a different base temp than the other, and I haven't found anything else that works as well to balance them out. It seems what happened was, when I f...

Hrmm, no, I didn't remove any .dlls or anything. In fact, I just extracted the above-linked .zip into its own directory for the sake of testing Cally. I just checked and gfx_directx.dll is still in that directory, so it would have been there yesterday when I did the test. Is there anything different...

More info for TMC: To restore my colors, I had to go into Catalyst Control Center and re-check "re-activate AMD control of color profiles" for both my monitors, even after closing game.exe. However, using alt-enter to change from fullscreen to windowed and back, in the same .rpg file, didn...

TMC, I have two monitors on Windows 7, and this is what was reported for me: get_screen_size: true screen size 1920x1080 Desktop resolution: 1920*1052 automatic_scale_factor(0.8), screen size: 1920*1052 More concerning, but probably not your problem is that when I toggled between fullscreen and wind...
