James, I have a question for you: how difficult would it be to alter the OHR's source code so that attacks could consume the attacter's "ATK" stat (like, in addition to MP, HP, and $$$?) That's on my wish list for this game. :) Yeah. Have an attack that you chain to after the attack happe...

I agree. The tentacles definitely need to stand out more somehow. The tree tops also have more of a low-spec style as opposed as the rest of your game having a more hand-drawn or arcade style going for it.

Other than that, everything looks great. Your music is also epic.

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=darkmoor+dungeon This is my theory why Darkmoor Dungeon has enjoyed a recent surge in popularity. If you scroll down the list a bit, you will notice that apparently somebody plugged the Darkmoor Dungeon videos in the comment thread under a 38000-hit Fire ...

I really liked the issue regardless. A very good comparison between one of the most well aged games and the most poorly aged.

Kenecchi pulled some stealth awesome into the issue, and his game is looking great.

I actually agree. Even though the new palette looks nicer at a glance, I've gotten more practical use out of the older palette, and modifying said palette.

Darkmoor Beckons: The all-purpose sequel to Darkmoor Dungeon. Never got demo'd.
Darkmoor Dungeon is my favorite OHRRPGCE game for all the right reasons. I can't wait to see what Darkmoor Beckons has to offer.

Meet the Sandvich!

Everyone saw the Sandvich coming, but Valve managed to deliver anyway. I love the video.

EDIT: Oooh, snap. The update is out!

I have to say there is only one new 'stage' in the game, so you won't see much new content, but I've worked a lot on making stage 1 a lot less button-mashy like it was in the first version.

Alright. Uploaded a new file that should help fix some of the major problems had. There are still minor things I keep forgetting to fix (Rockdude boss still has no walkabout, and the Stage Clear textbox doesn't have the restore music bitset on.)

Ah. Yeah. Leveling up isn't too important in hedgemaze. I'm based everything on what level you would be if you were to fight every battle without running (so the change isn't too significant). Expect me to change one of the Adventurer's secondary skills to be a higher chance of running, because I kn...

though it might be nice to mention that you can examine equipment via the menu, because I spent the first 10 minutes or so doing a trial and error kind of thing with weapon equips. Mentally noted. I'll find a way to add this to the tutorial. 1. The cake is not consumed after use. Is this intentiona...

Hedgemaze ver. 2.1 update

http://slimesalad.com/forum/viewgame.php?t=335 So far I am not completely satisfied with everything, but I have enough new content for people to try out and see what I am doing wrong, and where I should improve. I have not accounted for different kinds of parties that may be chosen, but hopefully th...
