I had some inspiration.
I intend to release most of my work (art/music) for public use

For enemy A.I., one can simulate reasonably complicated behaviour by having a special attack whose sole function is to trigger other attacks via conditions, and setting tags. It would be nice to see that built into enemies themselves somehow! Perhaps there could be a special class of attacks which a...

could we have more than 100 string IDs please? I often get the idea of saving strings as a history (log) that can be recalled by a player, but that would use a lot of strings. I also don't like re-writing/saving over strings in case I need that string again later. Maybe i am being finnicky but 100 r...

changing the view of the slice editor permanently
Is there a way to change the default position of a slice collection in the editor, or to make the editor remember the position? For example, using F6 to change the view ACROSS the editor? (You could have it so that pressing F6 resets the position as well) I prefer to use 3x zoom when looking at slic...

Slice Editor crash
Pressing F7 causes the slice editor to crash if a non-sprite slice is selected.
It allows me to continue, but it also offers to recover .temp files.
Terminal gives me "error: (bug)" so this is unintended, right?
I actually pressed it unintentionally the first time :p

This is somewhat of an obscure request, but for graphics/sprite drawing, can we swap which side the canvas/palette appears on command? The reason I am asking is because having the canvas to one side engages one eye (the one which is closer) more than the other (eye), leading to the corresponding hem...

Enemy A.I., Enemy Attacks, Behaviour etc., I would like to see attacks launched by enemies under conditions such as: - self, ally or enemy suffering from status ailment - whether or not an item has been stolen from them, and an attack that can use up (delete) that item - delay, postpone or save an a...

I figure it might be nice to have suggestions in their own threads. I would like to cover enemies, attacks, animations etc., and don't mind if anyone else has suggestions or ideas and wants to post them here! EDIT: I think that enemy animations and self-tags would open up many avenues in the battle ...

Map Editor Menu Layout, Discussion
These are some tentative ideas about the Map Editor Menu (not the mapper itself) New users should not have to hunt for options, such as music for the map. Similarly, various options should not be lumped (harm-tiles) or spread out (mapper functions) needlessly. SUMMARY: - Mapper functions should go t...

As a debug option, I would like to be able to pause battle without any obscuration, and proceed frame by frame. The reason for this is when I'm checking weapon animations on heroes, I like to check the minutiae, and there IS a pause debug option, but it seems to cover the screen. Is there a way to p...

I agree wholeheartedly. I haven't been here long but I find the community here very friendly and knowledgeable in general, and it's all thanks to the consistent and reliable efforts of various members, especially TMC, to make it so, and keep it justly. TMC has always been super-polite and helpful an...
