How about a way of swapping the contents of 2 sprite canvases in addition to copy/paste/transparent paste? CTRL+S maybe?
I create lots of blank canvases and copy/paste back and forth to order my sprites.
I don't want to accidentally paste over my work. Or is there an easier way to do this?

seems to work fine for me (ubuntu)

installs quickly, appears in my games list
(there doesn't seem to be an icon for it though)
sound/graphics/battle/save/load all work. Haven't tested it extensively however.

I am not that good with scripting tbh. I personally would go with conditionally appearing NPCs for simplicity. Sorry bout that.

Maybe we could extend this stage a little, or perhaps have an "open" stage where we can talk about the projects a little?
It might also give time for people to finish up, and new people to join in, or just to go over your work with the game author and see that everything is right
