regarding a radial layout. You could do it like 'points' of a 'star' (or polygon) perhaps? Optimal rectangle packing is *cool* but I can't imagine how it is a useful feature for slices. What sort of game would you need this feature for? It could take over some of the roles of 'grid' slices which dis...

Am I right in thinking padding is the same for all children (?) This is just an idea, but how about giving child slices padding proportional to their size? Somehow, the size (for e.g. fitting it into an area) needs to be factored into the way it is arranged and how it is treated compared to smaller ...

I would love to contribute an arcade game (for free) I think I can pull off a Pengo-like, and I would like to try. I also have a few other ideas, maybe I can pitch them to you? Is it okay to discuss in thread? Maybe other people would like to contribute. Or perhaps it is better discussed in private?...

I think you can escape an endless loop by setting/checking a tag to check if counter-attacks are occurring. You can Instead-chain to turning this tag off and end the loop. *idea* would be a lot easier with mass-editing entries or being able to define templates. You could use an element 'counter' to ...

So I've been cleaning up my scripts. Here is the script for drawing sprites on NPCs, with 3 variations 1 frame - a static image, 2 frame - corresponds to walk frame, 8 frame - corresponds to full walkabout set This is intended to be a convenient format that takes arguments for everything. The first ...

Really impressive! Much better than my efforts ;_; Hitboxes are neat-o and its feels very solid and tight (and it's animated really smoothly too). I can see this being used for action games, such as side-scrollers and it would be really awesome for low-resolution games Momentum doesn't have to be a ...

Arms (usually) swing forward and backwards OPPOSITE to the motion of the legs in the regular gait of a normal human walk. Note, everybody. *cough* *coughing because the sprites that come with the engine have the arms and legs swinging on the same side in the same direction at the same time which is ...

It would be really cool to play around with the Special Slice Collections, including calling our own from scripts. It is much easier to lay things out in the slice editor than to script it. Isn't it possible to alter the layout of the status scene by script? But the status scene isn't just display, ...
