*OFFICIAL* 2014 Great Review Contest Random Game Chooser

That's right boys and girls, this time it's official! We all know it's impossible to just *pick* a game to review. We all know last year, I wrote a program to unofficially help you out. 2014's a new year, the year you're finally gonna review all those games you missed out on in 2013 and you're gonna...

My damn Poker game has been up there for months now and only has 75 downloads and two votes. Is Game of the Month even worth the effort?

Why couldn't they talk more about that werewolf guy in Mos Eisley? I always wanted to know more about him. Because he's a wanted man. In thwee galaxies! Or something. I somehow doubt he's really wanted in any galaxy, and is, instead, just a mentally unstable ugly guy who wanted attention. That, or ...

I'm not familliar with Abrams work outside of Star Trek and what little bit I heard about Lost. I liked the new Star Treks, but at the same time I think 30 years from now we're gonna look back and say "That's so 2010", which is a feeling I'd hate to see in Star Wars. Boba Fett is the logic...

I'm with you 100%, I've never understood the people who complain when they don't even try to squeeze 80 years of backstory into a 2 hour comic book movie and these angry Star Wars fans are even worse. It's gonna be hard enough to make satisfying Chapters 7-8-9 that are consistent with the original t...

There's an option in the menu editor to have a script that runs when you close the menu, the "On-Close Script". Presumably any spell or potion you'd use would be from the menu, maybe you could have an On-Close script that would update the stat boxes?

What I was thinking was more like... Count := ChildCount (Slime) if (Count >= 10) then ( freeslice (FirstChild (Slime)) ) The invalid slice handle is, presumably, because in your latest example, FreeSlice (ChildC...

I could be wrong, but Count := 0 looks like the problem to me. The way I read it, that means it's gonna create a slice each step or tick, 1,2,3..18,19, 20! Stop, free the oldest slice! And then reset the counter to 0 and start counting to 20 again, so at the end of 40 ticks you're gonna have 38 slic...

Re-releases should have overwhelming votes in favor. If you're doing it right, an extra two years of development is a huge huge thing. The joy of this contest should be long-term progress, people battlin it out year to year like old ladies at a pie cookin' contest. Nippin at each others heels, forci...

An entire month is NOT a short-term deadline. TMC's question is interesting, but I think that's half the fun of the contest. How difficult can you make your game before it becomes unfair? Unfun? That's a challenge we face as game designers every day, and it'll be nice to see how people handle it.

"Whoever makes the best game gets their game stolen from them by people who have been here longer" contest? Really? EDIT: Was meaning that towards SPoonweaver, not Direwolf who posted right after. What I don't like about Direwolf's idea is that it's one at a timin' it. Someone who knows wh...
