Well, if it works like I think it does, then it does exactly what I want. I was just unable to find an explanation of how it worked until now. It wouldn't be the first time that I simply couldn't understand a feature that I was sure I needed.

I am Nathan Karr. My hobbies include spamming memes, self-deprecation, hyperbole, and stating my real opinions bluntly (which invariably results in my being proclaimed a troll).

0-999 for accuracy/evade seems kind of excessive (but then again, I don't like seeing a lot of huge numbers for stats in games. It really annoys me that the newer Final Fantasy games keep tacking more and more zeros onto their bigger bosses' HP...) It's really just going from % to tenths of a perce...

Almost every game idea I've had was a fangame in one way or another.

The trouble now becomes choosing which one to revive.

I'd like to be able use "if (stat) is (>/<) (Random number 0-999)" to do Attribute Checks for chains. For example, Attack (selects target) If (attacker's Accuracy) is > (random number 0-999) then chain to (Hit) next, else chain to (Miss) Hit (does damage) If (defender's Evasion) is > (rand...

I don't know why, but the polls make me feel less like giving feedback. It's not like I even answer the polls, either. Of course, a Facebook "like" button would be meaningless to me, because I don't use Facebook. Yeah, me saying all this is probably less helpful than staying shut up. Sorry...

Ah, Baldur's Gate 2. I only played the first one. The idea of a balance between good and evil is worse than the idea of neutrality to begin with. Evil is, in fact, only when a good thing is twisted to do something outside of goodness. You're meant to be good at all times; 50% is not a passing grade....

Let's try to get back on topic. If you want to discuss religion, open a new thread for it. Not going to say this again. I don't know why you felt the need to repeat that. Seriously, I'm baffled. There is no Neutrality! Gray is just a bastardization of Black and a corruption of White! Exactly 100% t...

absolutely relative These words alone illustrate my point perfectly. Absolute relativism can't stand up to itself; absolute absolutism absolutely can. I don't give a flying rip what people choose to believe, only what is true. This has meant, on many, many occasions, changing what I believe. I can ...

Nope.

Dang, that thing's gotta be tough, whatever it looks like.

I want Team Rocket to get their old motto back. I know, it's about the cartoon and not the games, but still.

No, good and evil aren't relative, and never have been. It's simply not possible to think that way, if you think deeply on the subject at all. An evil person can self-justify his actions, he could have some sort of Freudian excuse wherein his evil is supposedly the result of something that happened ...

I think there should be 255 pokemon, with the redundant clones removed (including "evolved forms" which are, rather often, basically bigger versions of the same thing), and the only secret/event Pokemon should be Missigno(which should be a real pokemon that looks like a glitch, rather than...

Nathan, why doesn't this side of you come out more often?
I honestly have no idea. I guess I just generally feel uncomfortable discussing important issues.

The reason that people with both good and bad traits are more sympathetic is because humans are, with one exception, that way. It's not possible to be wholly bad or pure evil. In fact, pure evil is an oxymoron. Badness is about being damaged and imperfect; a villain who is stupid, weak, a complete j...
