For me coffee is best: Room temperature or slightly warmer; 3 spoons of white sugar, 2 spoons of brown sugar, or a standard-sized candy cane; and a dash of 2% milk, whole milk, or half & half (the less fatty the milk, the bigger the dash). I always make sure to brush my teeth before drinking my ...

That'd be even more work, so obviously someone as lazy as me isn't going to do that.

I did that for a while, but for some reason I think I like cropped 16x10 rooms more than the styles that keep the hero in the middle of the screen all the time.

Re: Projects you don't have time for

The best part about making a Pokemon game is you'll mostly only need one copy of the PokeCenter, and PokeMart. If I recall in both Red and Blue, the insides of both of these buildings were the exact same in every location, besides a few different NPCs inside. This can be easily scripted. It can be ...

Just realized that in Weegee, Pikachu gets amnesia and assumes Weegee is its trainer when he opens its Pokeball. Weegee himself might also qualify, not so much in the "who am I?" sort but rather "how'd I get here?"

Loving Marinaranite. I think "Projectile Attack" works better as a description than a caption, to be honest.

The article on unfinished games was a good read. I probably ought to write one myself, but I think my creativity is hibernating.

I liked Shiz's drawing of Wolf.

Giz and I don't have any ideas beyond a vague notion that it should involve a fairly normal human woman as the protagonist going through a place full of strange things.

We've still got plenty of time to come up with something, right?

I'd use it. In fact, I'd probably replace accuracy and evasion stats completely if it were implemented.

However, have any of you considered doing a less-cartoony, gritty/realistic game. Powerstick Man and Tales of the New World I are both more realistic in the way their characters are drawn than most OHR games. Maces Wild is as dark and gritty as I can make a game - and believe me, I was trying. The ...

Wait, you're telling me people do this differently? The only other way I ever did an intro was having a touch-activated NPC set to high speed and "chase you" AI on the starting map.
