Nathan's Halloween

I threw a game together in an hour re-using sprites I already had.

10/30/2016 - fixed a couple "bugs" that consisted mostly of overlooked bitsets.

Congrats on winning, RMZ, choose any two characters from Surfasaurus for me to doodle on a piece of printer paper and color with my sack of Crayolas.

My game I was working on around this time last year still has a bunch of halloween-themed graphics in it.

I forgot one more game in the "I didn't like it" pile: Quodia 2/10. First thing that annoys me about this game is that the heroes are renamable - with the type of battle display you're going for, it'd work out better to just stick the player characters with their default names and no chang...

Being polite, even when you strongly dislike something is important, and enhances, rather than detracts from the constructiveness of the criticism.
Being rude, especially when you're critical, is more fun you slime ;3

Pile of games I respect the effort in, wanted to enjoy, but overall didn't like: Bale 5/10. The gloomy atmosphere and completely unfun one-note battles against the same two enemies wore thin after twenty minutes. Fruity Quest 4/10. I was enjoying the bad graphics and crude jokes for what they were u...

I still don't know how you got through that third puzzle in the Desert Templar fortress.

Also Successor's Legacy is my favorite game in the contest so far (not having played YNAH or Surfasaurus yet).

@Nathan Karr I love it! Looks like the pixel art version of something from Five Nights at Freddy's. That's kinda the point of it, so I'm really glad to hear that! And just like my Electric Hedgehog Mouse Thing I don't quite want to cross over into copyright/trademark infringement zone, but do want ...

I usually went with Dana for my generic gender-neutral protagonist name, though Alex, Kyle, [/u] and Ashley also work pretty well for that. I've never heard of a female Kyle before... I saw it in a review of a movie about a decade ago or a little more, then looked it up in a book of names and saw i...
