I haven't played all the games yet, but of the ones I have played (not counting Motrya): Guo's game - 5/10 - Excellent start but there's not much there. With some updates I could see this bumping up quite a bit. Skyfall - 6/10 - Needs some rebalancing, but I loved what was there and hope he makes mo...

Don't have pictures, don't have nothin'. (That's usually how it goes here) I mean, it sounds like you are off to a decent start, but anyone can come up with paper ideas pretty quickly; besides, you didn't even describe what the classes do. I think that it would help you if you could describe how eac...

The changes to the DS version are extensive, and include: - Shoehorning characterization into the heroes. You originally started with all four heroes, who were personality-free like in FF1. The characterization did not add much to the game. - Extensive character class rebalancing. There was no Free...

I am done making minor updates, I think. Any download from this point can be considered my HotOHR upload until after the scoring, probably. I won't likely update the file until the 25% version.

I might be making VERY SLIGHT updates to this file before the deadline. (Just uploaded one right now)

That's fair game, though. :) Special thanks to The Giz.

Motrya (Chapter Two)

7/2/2015 My website was basically getting paid to do nothing, so I took it down. I have changed the download links for the time being, so you guys can still access the game if you want to. I don't know if the game will ever be finished, but it's been greenlit on Steam so if I do, I'll be uploading i...

Early release time! Motrya is an old-school RPG, similar to those from the Super Nintendo console, that chronicles Murlor's journey through a strange, but sometimes familiar fantasy world. What if you were fixing to graduate from school, but had never actually done the work required? Murlor would kn...

Ugh yeah that'll do it - I'm an idiot. Thanks. I use variables when I refer to things more than once, otherwise I just stack the code and use a comment so I know what it's doing. Not that it's a bad thing, but hamster speak has waaaaay more pointers/references and things like that than any other la...

You need to use findhero() to find the position of the hero.
For example:

herox(findhero(hero:bob)) will give you the X position of Bob.

I recommend using variables instead of stacking code.

Right. To me it was more like the wands follow their own brand of sportsmanship, which Voldemort likely didn't believe because he thought he was so bad-ass.

Yay essays! Here are some other things that are worth reading: http://hpcompanion.com/ Harry Potter Companion. It has details, observations, fanart, and JK Rowling quotes concerning events and themes chapter by chapter. There is also a section on essays which is very fascinating. http://markreads.ne...

There are lots of things I love, especially all the metaphors for oppression, dictatorship, bullying, and how all of those are interrelated. Draco is basically poised to become just like the Dark Lord until Harry shows him mercy. The elf subplot is fantastic, and I wish JK Rowling had resolved it a ...
