I don't know how much more I'll work on Sprout until I consider it "done," but perhaps after it's been playtested and I work out all the bugs I'll call it finished and go back to working on something else. This is the first game I've actually made to completion, so it's some kind of milest...

First of all, you're silly and I respect that.

Second of all, I'm working on polish like you said. There are a few more bugs that I want to get fixed before I release another version, but I'll post a screenshot here for now.

Oh absolutely. My original intent was to draw each map individually, minimalising the repeating of tiles to my best capabilities. However, I started working on the game too late and was bent on just making the game playable from beginning to end by the deadline. I managed to do that, so now I just n...

I'll look into the bugs. I have an idea of what might be wrong. There is an option in the menu to erase your save data if you have to start over.

EDIT: I managed to recreate what happened to you. There's some tag issue, but it seems unrelated. There might be several other bugs like this.

I'm really liking it so far. The title screen really captures the simplicity of the game. I give it a 9/9.

Okay everyone it's August 17. Technically voting starts today, so if you've got a game, or part of one, upload it.

Late submissions are accepted, however I would appreciate a confirmation from anyone who will be late so I know if I'm waiting for nothing or not.

(Return has been the same for me)

But yeah, it's no big deal. Being a solo developer is suuuuper tough.

Ok, Sprout is now playable from beginning to end, so I posted it on the Games thread. Mind the shoddy graphics. I didn't put a lot of time into the visuals because I wanted it to be playable first. I will continue to work on it. EDIT: By the way, it's like 5 minutes long or less if you know how to b...

Sprout

This is my entry to my own contest, the 2015 OHR Summer Harvest Agricontest. It's playable beginning to end, but the graphics are not completed. Let me know if you find any bugs. UPDATE 8/22/15: Fixed many bugs and added many graphics and pretty things. The game is much more difficult to break now, ...

You can't take it with you. Do what you love while you can. There's nothing wrong with encouraging people to do something they enjoy.

However, if you no longer enjoy it, then don't force yourself to do it. I respect your decision about Motrya, even if I never get to see it finished.

Having looked at the courses in Computer Science bachelor degrees lately, marketing appears to be a subject they focus very little on. CSU Monterey Bay and UC Santa Cruz in California both have "Game Design" emphasized majors, but looking through the paths, they don't consider marketing a ...

To those involved: I hope all is going well, and that you are satisfied with at least some part of what you have created. Whatever it is, it is something to be proud of. This weekend for me is trying to tighten up my game, which I assure you is not the most impressive thing. Farming fact #9 was the ...
