Topic: Tweaking enemy formations based on party size?

There are "is in party tags" for heroes and stuff like that, right? You could write an instead-of battle script that checks for heroes, and use a different formation set depending on how many you have. That sounds simple, right?

This is great to see. I had this exact same idea (importing scaled up sprites and then shrinking them down to normal size) and wanted to try it out. I'm glad you did it, cause I forgot. I was thinking of using this for a minimap/selection screen, where the sprite is zoomed out while the player is ch...

@marionline: I never noticed your updated maps, somehow! They look really good. The village definitely looks more populated and lively. The level of detail and diversity among the graphics and objects makes it much more interesting to look at and (I'm sure) more interesting to explore. I like the st...

Hello again. I haven't tallied up the votes yet. I've been traveling the past few days, and on top of other deadlines, I haven't made time. That being said, if anyone hasn't played the One Room games or hasn't voted, PLEASE DO SO! Feedback is one of the most important parts of game design. You have ...

I'm happy to hear that. I was focused on making something that could loop continuously without getting obnoxious.

Here's my votes for now. Sorry for taking so long. Midterms and projects and going out of town have had me pretty swamped. I'll try to write some reviews or at least some feedback this weekend while I'm out of town.

I had this issue. You could add a tag that's set true by the autorun and check it in your eachstep. The top of the eachstep script would then be script, eachstep, begin if(checktag(tag:number) == false) then( exit script ) end Alternatively you...

Sorry to hear the timing didn't work out well for you. Next time I'll try to get a better lead on when to schedule the actual contest so as not to exclude anyone. If you can get a submission in before a winner is chosen, I'll count it. The only issue you might face is not having everyone who voted o...

Two weeks! That's a big extension! Feel free to finish your game in however long you need, but I don't know if I can justify extending the deadline for everyone. Everyone can chime in, but I think it might devalue the crunch time some people put into their games to finish by this weekend. If you wan...

I decided to make a game, even though I said I wasn't going to. I uploaded the (very) unbalanced version with complete-ish mechanics.

The Flow

I decided to make my own submission for the One-Room Contest, 2018. This is an economy simulator where you transport resources from one place to another. You've got limited money, the merchants have limited money. If it runs out, you lose. It's not at all balanced. Only the raw systems are in place.
