Disrupt has potential to be overpowered/abused so it only works on magic attacks and has high MP cost and threat generation. But my problem is that I want the player to be able to know when an enemy is casting so that Disrupt can be used effectively. Any ideas on this? Or is it better for the playe...

So it sounds like quite a bit of the fun was dying in charming way. My vision for this game is that you include an in-depth character creation at the beginning of the game with lots of silly options. You'd include abilities that sound really cool but end up as jokes on the player, like "Trap Re...

The fun behind Darkavern

I just tried to play Escape from Darkavern and I was amazed at how bad I was at it. I fell for most of the traps and my RNG in battle was terrible. I couldn't even get myself to play again after my third death. The text? I thought it was cute at best, but it got incredibly repetitive as I had to rer...

1. Featuring as an important character any three of the following: a pirate, a ninja, a robot, a zombie, a vampire, or a cowboy. (You must have two different characters -- two zombies or one zombie-cowboy doesn't count.) 6. Making character stats influence gameplay out of battle. (For example, usin...

Paid with the opportunity to play a game before its official release! :v:

But seriously, most (if not all) of the games on this site are free games with the intention of being fun, so there's really not much of a fund for payment.

I'm liking how the storyline ties together your previous games, but a few of the songs were a bit...uh. They set the mood very nicely, but there would be times when they would have a harsh pitch that would be kind of painful. I think this has been brought up before, but it feels weird to receive no ...

Re: Night of 10k bullets

1. Curve shots: I don't understand them. I pulled it off once by fluke :( 2. The boss guy: my game froze on him after I ran out of bullets. 3. The opening cutscene: what everyone else said. 1. Imagine in your mind something like an invisible cursor after you fire a shot! Now, while your current tar...

As an experiment, I made a game in thirty minutes the other day, and I'm thinking of holding a contest like that. Call it the Coffee Break Contest, since you have the timespan of a single coffee break to finish a game, and you do it to goof off and take a break from a more serious project. I'm genu...
