People getting punished over misunderstandings has happened since laws were first invented and will continue to happen forever. The only thing that really concerns me is if anyone gets punished out of misunderstanding (like on youtube) and no one will actually look into the situation (like on youtube). This sort of thing already goes on enough on youtube (like on youtube).

and I suppose I'll release mine under creative commons attribution unported. sounds dandy to me.

honestly, though I do like to be accredited to my work, I won't hold it against someone unless they've the gall to claim something I've made as their own.
