"Now that we've gained some distance from the town, I have some matters I must attend to. If any of you are a bit squeamish, you might want to look away." Kalar thinks a while and says: "Actually, just give me a minute." He leads the six mules some ways away, but still in sight ...

"If there's nothing else, let's be off then. I want as much distance between ourselves and this village when they find out we're gone."

"My thoughts exactly. Which is why I feel we should leave immediately. I say we head on out, Lynda is in no danger and will have no trouble catching up with us."

"Come then, let us be off. I'd rather we not have to deal with those people. Staying here to rest while entertaining and healing them is no longer an option if Jehan is in the area. Let's get going."

"Very well, let us be off. That Jehan fellow is bound to attack us, and I would rather not have this village slaughtered as collateral damage. If you have any last minute purchases that you need to make, now is the time to do so." Kalar attempts to purchase an mule and a cart (15+8=23 gp)...

I could be wrong, but both Rogue and Psychic Warrior have average BAB progression, so shouldn't your BAB be +9/+3?

And huzzah for another evil character =p

"I agree. Knowing how 'honorable' they are, chances are as soon as we turn over the amulet, they'll hit us with all the magic they've got. I vote against turning over the amulet. We should settle in for the night, and then leave first thing tomorrow. I'll pick up the iron bands I had made alon...

"Right, lads. Best everyone get some rest. Might be a good idea to stay together for now, so that I can keep watch over everyone. If the rest of you don't mind, I'll cover the room in darkness. Hopefully, if Jehan returns, he won't be expecting it and that'll give us a few extra seconds to act...

Interesting. Kalar looks around in a circle, looking both up and down as well, searching for Jehan or whoever else might be within 60 feet.

"I have my doubts as to whether that is our good host. If you are going to open the door, then be ready to kill him as soon as the opportunity presents itself." Kalar gets ready to cover the room in darkness at the very first sign of hostility. He also channels divine energy into himself,...

I think, strictly RAW, yes, it is possible to sneak attack with a ballista. I could be wrong though, I haven't really played too many rogues.

"I am unsure if that can indeed take all of us, but should the need arise, both Lynda and I can fly. With the darkness I am able to generate, I should be able to move relatively unseen. Still, I suggest we all return to our rooms and keep an eye out. Alternatively, we can all move to a single ...

Kalar doesn't have a tender neck. Though by now, the decomposition process might certainly have rendered it rather ripe. And silvery.

Agreed, a rogue would indeed be most useful. We do have a rogue in Hrulgin, but A) he's not a good trapfinding/disabling rogue, and B) we have no idea if we'll ever see him again. Traps have really hurt us so far, so definitely someone sneaky with a lot of ranks in Search, Disable Device, and Spot. ...

Kalar moves to the others' rooms and wakes those who aren't sleeping. "Right lads, spotted that Jehan fellow outside the window. He's gone back into hiding, but we should expect another encounter soon. At the very least, he'll certainly try to attack us as soon as we leave the town. "Now,...
