Right now, working on a general theme for the non-theme-affiliated parts of the artscape. Give me a week or so.

You march into the cave. The inside is rather damp, and there are many different types of moss and fungi all over the walls and the floor. Not far from the entrance, perhaps 30 feet or so, you come to a fork. The one to the left is on a slightly downwards slope and is much smaller than the path to t...

You make your way into the cave entrance, with the larger members having to squeeze through.

What's your marching order?

Quite impressive. And far, far more elegantly done than the code I was working on, hehe. Will the code eventually feature things like traps and dungeon features like in other roguelikes?

The halberd lands on the tripwire causing the trap to trigger. A javelin shoots out from inside the cave, narrowly missing Tim-Tim, and then embedding itself in a tree behind your group.

Took some time off from tile-ing, tried my hand at sprite-ing. I admit, my sprite skills need quite a bit of work, hardly up to par with my tile-ing. http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r552/ld2i/Golem.jpg http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r552/ld2i/Troll.jpg Still, I kinda like these two. First i...

Knowledge (Dungeoneering) (1d20 + Ranks + INT) Beardthar: 17 + 0 + 1 = 18 Success Kobolds are relatively weak, not much different from goblins in terms of strength. They are, however, far more cunning and clever. You doubt they'll stand and fight you in a fair battle. More likely, they'll try to we...

I'll try to whip up tiles that reflect each of the movements. Give me a week or so to get them together, then I'll upload what I have for peer-review and critique.

Beardthar Knowledge (Architecture and engineering) (1d20 + Ranks + INT) Beardthar: 15 + 0 + 1 + 2= 18 Success Based on the structure of the rocks, you suppose that the old entrance was previously big enough to allow perhaps a small wagon to pass through. The stonework is very crude though, most def...

Beardthar Search (1d20 + Ranks + INT) Beardthar: 17 + 0 + 1 = 18 You search the surrounding area and figure that the twine is definitely attached to something, and it will definitely trigger some sort of trap. What the trap is though, you can't tell. You can however tell, that it was only recently ...

Righteo then, I'll throw something together over the next couple of weeks. I'll try to make distinct tiles for each of the different art styles. Are we going to be using the walktall scripts? Or are the walkabout sprites going to be 20x20? So I can do scale appropriately.

Legacy roadmap

Hiya, just a quick bit on my development roadmap for Legacy. I've got some of the things working, but would like to ask about the feasibility of some of the things I've got planned. Zone-based dynamic lighting - Working for the most part, still a few kinks to work out, but otherwise working. Dithere...

Well, it turns out that in Final Fantasy 7, Cloud's name actually means, "A big white fluffy thing in the sky that causes rain" hehehe But in all seriousness, I don't see a problem if his/her name or last name means something else. Unless the name is meant to affect something in your story...

I assume we'll be using the default OHRRPGCE palette? Or will each area have a different palette?
