Looking around, and noticing that no one else seems to be doing much, Kolobor pockets the wand he picked up and examines the stone door. Guessing there's nothing much to lose, Kolobor reaches for the lever. Then he stops. Before pulling on the lever, he grabs one of the dead kobolds and uses it as a...

Beardthar Beardthar takes his staff in both hands and swings at the Inquisitor. Beardthar: 1 + 2 + 1 + 2 = 6 Miss! Beardthar misses horribly. More than that, he slams his quarterstaff into the wall. The impact jars Beardthar, and his weapon falls out of his hands. Round 04 Spittle Spittle moves up ...

Tim-Tim Tim-Tim moves closer, and gets his first glimpse of the blue guy. Will: (1d20 + Bonus + Misc) Tim-Tim: 13 + 6 + 4 = 23 Success Perhaps driven slightly mad by the pain in his hand, he completely disregards the horrifying appearance of the inquisitor and merely brushes off what fear there may...

Ah, well ok, but in most rpgs, race only changes a character's starting stats, so you could just use the characters in the editor as classes and assemble each custom character with scripts. That is, assuming you are using a system similar to most rpgs. Well, actually both race and class determine t...

You can also set the hero's level to 99, then read his stats. That would work if I had less than 40 heroes and I could set hero stats within the editor. As it stands, I have 120 possible combinations for all my heroes. http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r552/ld2i/abc001.png http://i1171.photobucke...

I use the GIMP, but Paint.net should be able to do pretty much everything that you need. Just be sure to export your files as BMPs with the proper bit-depth for what you're trying to import. I do recall Paint.net being a bit messy and clunky with color management, but the last time I used it was a f...

I assume by "max stat", you're talking about how in the engine you can set stats for L0 and L99, and this determines the growth curve on each level up? Yup that's exactly what I'm talking about. For instance, you could define your own level-up formula, and set the stats per each level on ...

BMR's New Project

So I've been mucking about with a new project. No, I'm not going to drop Legacy, it's very much alive and well. Just something I've been tinkering about with to prevent me from burning out with Legacy. Like I did with Legacy, I'll use this as a catch-all for everything related to this project and an...

Random doors

I was reading through the plotscripting dictionary, and I can't seem to figure out how to place a door using a script. Something like, PUT DOOR(x, y, doornum). Does something like that already exist and I've just been lazy in not being able to find it? Or is it currently impossible to move doors aro...

Well, I can certainly take a look at it if you'd like. I just finished my English 101 class, so now I'm an expert at editing (cough). Ah, eng101, fond memories of college. I recall being bored out of my mind in that class, hehe. But on a more serious note, my article will be ready in a few days. It...

Kolobor shifts into hybrid form (who knows what danger might still be lurking) while still ready for action. He plucks the wand from the hand of the kobold that he's holding and stuffs it into his belt. He drops the kobold and then reaches into his pack to pull out his last (and only) potion of cure...

Sensing that the lizardfolk barbarian is gaining on him, Kolobor will turn his head and snarl at the barbarian. He is determined to reach the wand-wielding kobold first.

The race is SO on.
