Righto, added the DoomRPG tiles to the wiki. I'm just assuming that all art contributed to this thread should also go to the wiki. Hope I'm not stepping on any toes or anything by uploading. I'll have some new art to contribute soon, just recently comverted Legacy to use a more organized palette, so...

That's certainly very ambitious. A question, if I may. Are you a teacher? Or is this just for fun? Just out of curiosity. Either way, if you're planning on doing all of this, then I'd suggest really carefully planning everything out from the start. Break everything down into manageable chunks that y...

Righto, so been uploading a bunch of stuff to the wiki, but have run into a bit of a problem. I've already mentioned this on the discussion page of the wiki, but thought I'd ask here as well in case someone has the answer but doesn't frequent the wiki. How do I do batch-uploads of images? I managed ...

This project sounds like something that might be easier with another tool. You might consider using pygame or kivy or something like that. Agreed. It certainly seems possible to do this in the OHRRPGCE, but you'd have to do a lot of scripting to get the engine to bend into the shape you want it to ...

Cool. Theres an open source dos emulator called dosbox that might work for ZZT, but I don't know how to set it up. It works for the first two elder scrolls games though. Edit: Off topic but found a youtube video showing how to get it to work. I guess theres a GUI configuration program for dosbox no...

Question for the people who have graphics resources on this page, would it be ok if I downloaded those files and then posted the images on that page?
Ah, and if you're reading this: Fenrir, would it be ok with you if I extracted the graphics from Vikings and uploaded it to the wiki?

Personally I think applying software licenses (especially the GPL) to art doesn't make a lick of sense, and the FSF agrees. I'm not even totally sure about how it applies it to game assets. For example, you could sell a game, and also separately release the code under the GPL. But you couldn't inco...

Would anyone mind if I take whatever images are posted in this thread and add them to this page on the wiki?

Wall tiles this time. These will (in theory) mesh perfectly with the shadows of the floor tiles I've made. Both use a template (the turquoise set) which makes it so all the tiles follow specific lighting and shadow-ing presets to ensure that they all play nicely together. Like the floor tiles, hese ...

A bunch of floor tiles this time. Again, these use the default with transparent black replaced with magenta. Most of the base ground tiles only use 4-6 colors, but with all the shading and lighting effects each set uses around 10-16 colors. These need to be edited into a tilemap, so it's up to the g...

Righto, here we go. These should (in theory) all be ready to import into Custom with almost no modifying. The only change is that they use a modified version of Neo's Better Palette (the first black color has been changed to magic pink). http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r552/ld2i/Neos_Better_Pale...

My turn to show how bad my old graphics were, hehe. This is from Arena 2, circa 2002, an unfinshed game I was writing in qbasic. http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r552/ld2i/arenaold_zps070b6a7f.png I decided to go ahead and try to redraw/rebuild the map using graphics from Legacy. http://i1171.pho...
