Any comments, critique, insults, etc... will be most appreciated. BMR, away! EDIT: Ah, blast, just realized I forgo...

They work perfectly fine on XP and Win7 based on experience. Works fine even on a VM under Linux.

Off the site? As in removed completely from GoG? Why would they do that?

Hey, BMR, you still wanting this up? BMR - Uh....this: I've been looking around at sprites at whatnot, and have found quite a few sprite-generators for RPG Maker. But those are geared towards RPG Maker (go figure) which have three walk frames, and aren't limited to 16 colors. I'm looking for a good...

I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to achieve, multiple layers/tilesets to enhance the overall appearance without being limited to a single tileset? If so, then you can do a whole lot with 8 layers (even though I'm one of those silly people who wish that there were more than 8 available) just b...

You can export to Windows and to Mac, so I guess you could sell that. I could very well be mistaken though. As for how long the license lasts, I have no idea.

It's ok, a bit (...ok, a lot) clunky at times, but it's fairly flexible. It can be a real pain to work with at times, and the interface leaves a lot to be desired, but for the most part, it works well enough for certain tasks.

Or alternatively, do away with levels altogether. You get more powerful by learning new skills, buying better equipment, etc... but not by leveling. Dunno how well that'd work though, or if it'd even work at all.

Hmm, not sure if I'd actually use it to make games and not, but hey, free is free. I'm off to download it now.

What I did in Legacy (well, before the complete revamp of the combat system) was to not have enemies scale, but rather to have encounters scale. Each enemy would have a certain level (CR I suppose). Going to one area while at low level (Party level is 3, for example) would do a lookup and have baddi...

Just a note though, I'm already using walktall for Legacy, and while I'm really liking it, you do run into the problem(?) that you'll see relatively less on the screen as the rest of your graphics will probably be scaled to match the proportions of your larger sprites. The bigger your walkabout spri...

No you don't, it'll work for all npcs/heroes that you make. You just run it in the autorun after you've added everything and then it'll run smoothly.
