Kalar had not intended to speak up, but this is ridiculous. The man has interfered with his patient, after it having been said that he needed and wanted no such aid. "First you insult me by calling me a liar. Then you tell us to surrender the items that we have bled to acquire, especially one ...

"Looks like they're headed back." Kalar turns to Voulton and says, "Voulton, I would appreciate it if you handled any further discussions. I've said my part, and you know how I stand on the matter. I would rather not jeopardize any further negotiations by further aggravating the man,...

You can get a decent monitor for around 20-40 USD or so. Prolly less if you get it second hand. It might be a bit of an investment, but the benefits you get are really worth it, and not only for artsy stuff. Also great for actual work, where you can for example have your word processor open on one m...

Also helps if you have a second monitor. And not just for pixel art, but for any sort of artsy stuff. You have your canvas maximized in one monitor, and all of your tools and a zoomed-out overview of your canvas on your other monitor. Works wonders.

"I don't trust him. Besides, the bastard called me a liar. Me! A liar!" Kalar calms himself down before continuing. "I agree, that perhaps he does have a point about keeping the items safe. But consider this, we already went through the trouble of getting these items. We've done well...

"Those are probably the forces of a deity or the other, perhaps one of the arch devils of the nine hells. This place is located rather close to the nine hells in its own little demi-plane, a demi-plane that was originally used as a meeting place and war zone for the arch devils and other deiti...

"With regards to returning to the material world, you're not quite correct. I have since learned a few things from my deity. Once the spell is dispelled, it will release a powerful high general of Baalzebul who will kill us all and then go on to ravage and destroy all sorts of things on the ma...

"So, if that's the case, what happens once the curse is broken?"

Kalar leaves out that he knows what will happen, as he is interested to learn just how much this individual knows.

"And just how often have we met people genuinely interested in helping us? Save your condescension for someone who has not been working to save us all, for someone who has not died for us. And don't talk to me about loathsome. I was not the one content to put innocents in danger when we were a...

Kalar is suspicious of this, but it might prove to be interesting. The mist did return and seems to not be moving any more, so there's that. Still, he readies his holy symbol, just in case. He orders this bloodhulks to stop and return, but does not disembark yet. Instead, he calls out to the man, &...

"No, we're not going to town. We need to get back to the library to tell Moriamis. She's the only one who's been helpful thus far, and this changes things. I believe this takes priority over everything else."

"I have my doubts. Everyone, onto the boat!" Kalar takes the feather token he made on the way here and activates it, causing another swan boat to appear. He orders Bill and the rest of his undead onto the boat. "Hurry, we don't know how much that thing is going to shrink, and I would...
