"Very well, then I suppose that is everything decided. Voulton, who is going with you? I have to stay here to tend to our patient, so I'm out." Kalar leaves out that he doesn't want to get anywhere within a mile of a silver dragon. He's died once, maybe twice, already, and has no intentio...

Kalar considers this. "That is satisfactory, I suppose. Voulton, Rob, and Rachelle could go, while Hrulgin and I stay behind here to continue tending to Lynda and to further explore this keep." Then Kalar thinks for a while and then says, "Or, one of you three could stay behind while...

Kalar listens to what Dan says, trying to keep his anger at the man from clouding his judgment. "What you say makes sense. I do have a question though, you must have a place you operate from, a stronghold of sorts. I will not ask where it is, as that would not be relevant to the discussion. My...

"Yes, I do suppose I have been more direct. Though I can honestly say that that is more because things seem to becoming more dire than anything else. Granted, the encounter with my deity might have had something to do with it, but only because that really impressed upon me the gravity of the s...

Kalar doesn't say anything, instead keeping quiet and observing Dan while listening closely to everything said.

Kalar would rather not meet a silver dragon, and whispers to Voulton, "Don't forget, if we are to leave the items, it should be with a party known to both of us and not just him. That, and as an assurance, we expect three items of equal value and importance to him."

Ok, I'll concede that it can't have charges per day and 50 charges, that was a bit of a stretch anyway. I'll rework that item to not use those two together. As for the once per three days though, I think the formula used works well compared to existing items. When calculating charges per day, the gi...

"She may need some time to rest. Thus far, you have proven yourself to be the most impartial and level-headed speaker amongst us. If I were to speak for us, anything I say would be colored by how I feel about this entire thing. The floor is yours."

Kalar removes the amulet from Lynda and then casts Restoration and Neutralize Poison. Hopefully, that will be enough.

He looks up to see Dan there and approaches. He then casts Zone of Truth.

"Very well, let us begin. Voulton, if you would speak for us."

Might be a bit costly in the long-run to make that many one-use items. I decided on this instead: Skull of Life This looks to be an ordinary human skull, except for the divine symbol engraved onto its skull. Once every three days, when a creatures touches the skull and says the word "medilux&qu...

"Interesting. Well, if we have nothing else to discuss or organize, I'd say that you should all turn in for the night. I'll keep watch and alert you to any danger should the need arise."

With that, Kalar orders his undead into a perimeter and begins working on his magic item.

Affliction one-time defenses? Hmm, there's Remove Blindness/Deafness, Remove Curse, and Remove Disease off the top of my head. They would cost similarly to the Delay Poison one, as they share the same level.

Which item should Kalar make next for the party? Bill's saddlebags had 5,285 gp in them, assuming they were not removed from the saddlebag (didn't read anywhere that they were). Glove of the Glorious Sun Upon using the command word "luxac", the wearer of this glove can expend a charge in t...

"'Trustworthy' my rotting left foot." Kalar puts any further thoughts of the man away for now. To business. He orders one of his skeletons to retrieve the twelve magical books from Bill's saddlebags and has them set out on the wagon. He also orders all the undead off the boat, as it seems...

"We spend the night here. In the morning, I will cast a spell. It will prevent anyone in the area from lying. That way, you will know that I am telling the truth, and we will know the same about you. You are a spellcaster, I am sure you are familiar with the spell. Even if you aren't though, y...
