My dear Twilight, you have much to learn about friendship! Let's be straight with each other: A week is not enough time to make anything grand or great by itself. As much as these other teams may think so. Working with someone else you've never met before is a severe handicap on top of this. In high...

Day 2, Trixie & her faithful student Twilight I missed Twilight in irc, but at least Twi has shown up in the forums. I was afraid this would be a one pony show! Today I drew a grass tile. All I need now is a tree. Can't make a game without grass and trees, right? (I'd post a screenshot, but I d...

Nice to meet you, Misac! My best points on game making is "x" where "x = ( moogle1 + 1 ) * sin(gizmog)". But honestly, I would have to say my best point is my people skills. As you'll soon find out, *wink* My worst points are probably the same as most everyone else here, you know...

Day One, Char & Misac Have yet to hear from Misac. Spoon tells me he may step in as my partner. I'm not sure how well this bodes for things. Would Spoon be okay working on whatever I want? Would we be able to collaborate a situation where he'll grant me free range? When it's all said and done, ...

Naturally the first one is Charbile. Was there ever any doubt? Misac, you can contact me here on the public forums in front of everyone because we do not hide in irc or skype or behind PM's. In fact, we're spotting the other teams an extra 10 points to make this fair. The first thing we need...

I'm in like Flint. Dear future partner, Heed this message, and learn it well: teamwork is vital in a contest like this. For that reason, I will do all the work and you must try and look pretty on stage with me. You will also refer to me as "Great and Powerful Wizard", or "G and P"...

I've found that by removing random battles altogether, I never have to worry about the spacebar syndrome. Having all enemies be relevant to the story or interesting boss battles is usually enough to keep players interested. Other than that, making it fun to look at an attack animation and offering n...

Surlaw, I hope to one day understand the source of your angst and I'm sorry if I've upset you in the past. It is indeed old. I've already moved on, and I hope you'll join me.

So long as you have fun with it, it's all good. The dynamic here is that some people have trouble dealing with real criticism. Kind of schoolyard ish. I used to have the same trouble, but critical thought is too helpful and fun to shy away from. About TIGsource, I believe a lot of its reputation her...

What lies between here and something amazing...

Mostly, I'm sad because I feel like it was the best (and only) place for insightful articles, reviews, and previews to get any real attention. I feel (you asked for feels dude!) that this has been a problem with every attempt at an ohr mag. Too much... 'selective group gratification' to cleanly say...

Am sure the ohr will run fine. I've played with it and my hunch was right that people are over-reacting.

In a nutshell, that metro menu thing *is* the new start menu, hover over in the bottom left corner. A super customizable fancy start menu that's tablet friendly. Pretty much still 7, more or less.

I'm really curious about this one too! Glad to see you're addressing some of the issues with Doom RPG. Does "NiX" stand for something, like "N.I.X."? Will there be any date-able characters? Is that a jukebox or some kind of evil trash can machine? Are those toilets interactive?

Anything is possible with the power of magic! step 1: use whatever commands to save the current heroes by slot step 2: use the hero picker (didn't realize this is a thing now!) assuming it returns the id of the hero selected? step 3: check by slot and removed all if they're not the same hero id step...

Could you explain the compass feature? Curious what use it would be. Wouldn't it always point up?

Would suggest simply running a while loop that checks if the hero has moved rather than using the each step. Like a game_controller object, but ohr gangnam style.
