All of this has really made me start re-thinking my ideas about having some sort of protection in place. You guys bring up good points against having that sort of feature, so I think you've changed my mind about it. I have not been playing with the nightlies but I'll definitely check it out. Sounds ...

Thanks James! It's funny that you mention the snowy/non-snowy areas as that is actually discussed in-game. There's a specific and somewhat comical reason as to why some parts are snow-covered while others are grassy. I've really tried to make each house's exterior completely unique from each other, ...

Game Distribution Protection

This may have been mentioned before, but I can't seem to find any active topic discussing this now. I'm still months, if not, a year away from having my latest game complete. As most of you know, I plan to have a free demo of the game available but intend to sell the full version. I've been thinking...

Thanks all. The City of Tenebrae (formerly Duskburg in The Omega) is by far the largest town in Ruin. At almost 4300 tiles, Tenebrae is densely packed with a ton of homes, shops, side quests and plays a huge role in progressing the main storyline. As with the other maps from The Omega, it is receivi...

Are you still planning on doing this, Nathan? I already follow your channel, so I'm looking forward to it.

Thank you sir! I actually had this ready yesterday, but decided to split it up since I already posted a lot of pictures yesterday. I just finished up an area that I worked on for several weeks before my design hiatus, and then a few more days in the past week. I've been really excited about these ma...

Thanks guys.

Yeah, the bear is still kicking around. I actually used him in an earlier area, but he still is in dire need of a revamp. I edited him some for Ruin, but he still needs more work in my opinion.

It's been almost five months since my last update! After battling a severe design slump, I picked the game back up and stared working again late last week. I've decided from here on out to be a be a little less chatty with my updates. I feel like I've been giving too much away, even with using occas...

Thanks, but the problem isn't with the ladder script. I actually did get that working properly thanks to your advice. The issue in the video is entirely different.

I'll see if I can upload it in a different format shortly.

Good ideas, thanks! There's another cosmetic issue I'm dealing with now. Things like this used to not bother me, but it's driving me crazy now. The video will show exactly what is happening. It's happening right after a script is ran and I resume a caterpillar formation. http://mocbjsoftware.com/pro...

You sir, are a genius. I've actually never messed with zones before, but now I can say that I have! Your idea behind the ladder script is way more efficient than what I was trying to do. Not to mention it also looks way cooler.

Thanks for help and kind words!

Back, with Some Minor Script Issues

Hey guys, It's been awhile (I do this a lot, don't I)! I took a break from working on games back in November and finally started back last night. I think what really inspired me to get back to work on my game was paying $5 for a game on Steam that was seriously inferior in comparison to many games t...

This is my opinion, so take it for what it's worth. So I apologize if the games I produce are lackluster, and are not as polished as some of the other games people releases. Everybody has their individual talent. You don't have anything to apologize about, and I don't think anyone is asking you to d...

I'm bringing you two more of my favorites today, both from the original gameboy era because I'm feeling nostalgic. My picks for today are from Final Fantasy Legend II and Pokemon Red/Yellow/Blue. Surprisingly there are many good tracks in both games, but these are two of my favorites. FFL2 - At the ...
