Oh! I just remembered another bug that's been fixed in Alectormancy: stringcompare used to return -1 instead of 1 on equality. As a workaround, get rid of the "== true". It's bad practice to write that anyway (partially because there may be more commands with that bug -- we never checked a...

That the string isn't hidden after "input string" is actually a bug that's fixed in currently nightlies. You can just add "hide string (2)" after it as a workaround. I don't know why the string doesn't compare as equal. You can try adding $4="'" 4 $+ 3 $4+"'" ...

Ichiro means 48kHz tracks. SDL_mixer plays them at 44.1kHz, decreasing the pitch a little. Yet another reason to ditch SDL_mixer. EDIT : James, the improved spell learning isn't Master K's feature request for HotOHR. He's still owed that feature as reward for the 48 hour contest. (Also, Giz never re...

Oh, I didn't realise that I broke numpad for movement. Do we need proper numlock support? Maybe we do, but it shouldn't be much trouble (though I don't think it acts like a toggle key in fbgfx)

The feature you're still owed is one of the things on my list. Once I have the menus sliceified, then I could make it possible to switch to a two-column or even one-column version of the menu, allowing space for long names. Since we'll support variable width font, few columns shouldn't be a requirem...

What does the mouse have to do scrolling? You can switch to the scroll tool with 'S'. Doing this is kinda tricky, but I am sure it is not impossible. I don't know much about the music backends, so it will be hard for me to do this without a lot of studying. TMC might know how to do it more easily, b...

You can also see the tile numbers while browsing tiles in the tilemap picker in the tilemap editor, and in "cut tiles". I probably should have added that display to the tileset editor itself too. Those animated tile numbers are only correct for the default animated tile range (which is the...

Neat.

Some of these elemental resists are quite weird. Why do golems absorb slash damage? Wights absorb blunt damage? And what's that mysterious "hack" element?

Wow, is that a MLG sequel? And I probably told you that doing that was part of the Editor Editor plan, so I didn't want to spend the time to implement it in just the hero editor only to replace it later with the editor editor (which is probably a terrible excuse for not doing it, but it is the excus...

Wow, I had figured that you used Terragen for the whole thing rather than just rendering. I'm not too familiar with Terragen, but I thought that's what it was intended for. Hadn't counted on the existence of general purpose heightmap generators.

Thanks, that's very helpful. And very strange... looking at SDL_mixer's source, it looks like it's Windows doing that, not SDL_mixer.

Also, no sound effects in music_native/2? Wow. Worked last time I tried it. Does anyone else have this problem?

Neat, what program did you use to render that terrain? Unfortunately I do have to complain that it's too long and repetitive. 110MB of backdrops isn't necessarily bad, if they compress very well when zipped. However because of the nature of the video, they would compress *very* badly, and you should...

Ah, neat, I was hoping something like that had been set up (though I don't understand how it's any different to just running dgamelaunch). But what counts is whether there's a popular server for it somewhere.
