What if other people contributed to your effort by copying the existing art style? If more people want to contribute graphics then it would be pretty cool if they were to fit well with each other, and we can end up with something more comprehensive. Also! Competitive Collab Contest This thing is tec...

I actually think the OHR is a perfectly good engine for this, as what you want is just an RPG with randomly generated maps. So this is a new game? Not adding a random dungeon to an existing game? Aside from the map generation everything else you mentioned is straight forward; e.g. randomly place NPC...

That would be awesome! There are a bunch of graphics that people have given away, but they're very rarely close to a complete set, and they usually mesh with each other quite badly. Aside from Vikings I guess the other thing worth mentioning is BMR's huge collection of (mostly interior) tilesets and...

Neat. That's a very ghostly interpretation of The Moon. Is that face meant to allude to the Man in the Moon? I find it looks like a skull, and it reminds me of The Scream.

I still think it a bit odd for the protagonist of this game to be the antagonist of the previous one. So spend all that time hating an imaginary character and suddenly your moral basis for making all that money (to one-up Chet) is reversed. It's not just anagrams, trillions of different phrases woul...

Cool, congrats! What are your plans for it? I'm surprised to see that you put it on Greenlight over 2 years ago. I can't imagine much recent activity on the page, so assume this is because of Valve continually slowly lowering the barrier to entry. I remember Gabe saying somewhere that they don't wan...

Yes, that's pretty much the simplest hash function imaginable. (A hash function is just a function which takes data as input and reduces it to a number in some way. They have many, many uses.) With the hash function you're using words which are anagrams of one another will hash to the same value, bu...

Yes, those are good suggestions. A single screenshot isn't much to go on; Tim-Tim excepted, of course. The polaroids do look nice, though I do think it odd that the text is cut off. I tried editing the page and saw that the thumbnail images themselves are 200x200, it's not just a matter of editing c...

I assume you implemented a hash function and feed the output to reseedrandom, but I'm curious how you hash it... Regarding "native mouse support", that exists in nightly builds, but only works with gfx_sdl at the moment. It will definitely be fixed in gfx_directx for the Callipygous releas...

Is it possible to display rectangular rather than square screenshots for the games? Both the screenshots and the names of the games are cut off, I don't think that looks very good. Also, how about a prominent link to the previous bundle page? The last one also had a blurb with more info and whcih me...

OK, interesting. I don't really fault them too hard for the static environments, as it's a game simply about following a story, and that's what you can easily make in a 3D modelling program. Unlike all those games which are trying to depict living, malleable worlds and yet still have static 3D envir...

"Everybody's Gone to the Rapture" was an interesting read. Seems to do a good job giving an impression of the game in a short review. Lack of interactivity while exploring environments tends to drive me nuts though, it wasn't clear whether you could actually examine items in the game. Was ...

What it takes to make it as an indie game dev is quite different to what it takes to enter an existing company. I don't really know, but i wouldn't expect courses like that to cater to indie game developers at all.
