Maybe unsurprisingly, I haven't had any takers on this yet. If anyone does happen to be interested, hit me up soon. Otherwise I'll make the music myself and everyone will complain.

Seeking a musician

I've been working on a new game for 4 months. It's about 65% done but will be completed by the end of the year. I need someone to compose an original soundtrack for it. Send me a PM if you are interested. Here's the premise: Your spaceship has crashed on a planet decimated by cataclysms and populate...

Let's do it. I've been working on a game for about 5 months and I think I could get it finished during the time period if I bust my chops.

Alice is Trapped - 4 Fun and unpredictable. I wouldn't mind seeing this expanded into something larger and more polished. I enjoyed exploring the school and finding the different secrets. Scare Spree - 4 Very polished, but frustrating to play for a high score. The disbursement of the students seems ...

If you really want to tell a tightly controlled narrative, you should probably write a book or make a movie. Games are tricky storytelling medium due to player interaction. Unless you have really minimal player interaction, in which case you probably aren't making a very good game. Although, now thi...

I wouldn't stress too much about how often a story element has already been used. Instead, focus on making your characters interesting. Then instead of being yet another story about ancient evil that has been unleashed and now needs to be locked away, it becomes about the interactions of your chara...

I recently encountered this limitation and so I broke my world map into 2 maps. Actually, my game is better for it, but it would be nice not to have to mess with all those work arounds.

I'm glad some people are actually playing this outside of the OHR community.

I think I found a bug. If you are using a "touch" NPC boat, when you run into a regular wall, the heroes dismount. The same thing happens if you touch a touch-to-use NPC, even if the "enable NPC activation" vehicle bitset is on.

plotscript, boatmount, begin write pass block(npc X(170),npc Y(170),15) end This is the code I started with. However, this completely encircles the boat with walls. How do I detect which direction the hero mounted the boat from and then only place a w...

All of your ideas are good. I'm not sure how I will resolve this, but you've given me a place to start. You could use a script to selectively remove walls next to the boat. Another solution, requiring lite scripting, would be it have 1 script run when you exit the boat, that makes the tile the boat ...

Vehicle as "touch" NPC

Is there anyway to have a boat vehicle act as a "touch" NPC instead of a "use" NPC? The problem is, you can't touch an NPC through a wall, therefore you can't touch the boat through the shoreline. However, for reasons of consistency, I want to make the boat function like a touch ...

It's cool how the character appear to hang off the bar as they use it to cross that gap. How was that effect done?

There appears to be a bad wall map or an invisible NPC in Mr. Pepper's shop. He is in the lower left corner.

Also, how do I get the shovel? I've talked to everyone in town. Some guy says he wants an anime but I don't know where to get it. I suspect this puzzle isn't supposed to be this hard.
