My entry's coming along pretty well. Gonna try and finish up all the graphics tonight, and then finish up everything else on Saturday.

Rachelle reprises her role as guard of the camp. She was never too fond of big human cities, and waltzing into one - especially given how she looked - wouldn't end well for her. Instead, she pulls out her magic book and continues reading. She and the rest of the party would have her hands full with...

I'm keeping Rachelle out of town for the time being. I'd prefer at least one person from the original party to survive if Kalar decides to nuke the place. If she still falls to whatever foolery is going on, though, I might have to go with my automaton maker idea.

Alright, it works! There's a 1-tick delay in between the portrait showing up and it being replaced by the bigger portrait, but as I'm just going to blank out the portraits for the eventual final release of harpy game, that won't be a big deal.

I'd go the backdrop method, but it would mean that the portraits would be getting covered up to varying degrees for any amount of text greater than two lines. Normally that's fine, but I want to be able to account for edge cases like in the attached picture. As far as I can tell, the best place to d...

Large Portraits

Okay, so I'm doing large portraits for harpy game . While I currently just have them as transparent backdrops, what I'd really like to do is to be able to replace regular portraits with them without having to plotscript every conversation out. At the very least I'd like to have the ability to just h...

Going to have to agree and say that those are some nice looking trees. Feel their bases are a bit disconnected from the ground, though; maybe putting some snow around the tree bases would make it look better.[/img]

Would kalar's necrotic cyst thing allow for the undead-instakill we have to work on it, or is that (like animating a skeleton still inside something that's still alive) a form of cheese that the rules prevent?

Rachelle scowls at the prospect of more time travel nonsense. "Could you at least explain what is going to happen if this time warp does come?" Suddenly, another issue comes across Rachelle's mind: "If you've had this ability to warp us to wherever we needed to go, why is it only now...

Okay, I'm not sure how much of this will actually work since I haven't tested it yet, but...: include, plotscr.hsd #include, yourGAMEfile.hsi include, scancode.hsi plotscript, startupScript, begin #this one goes as a New-game plotscript suspend player moveRewrite #anything else you want to do in the s...

Rachelle scrunches up her face upon hearing about what exactly Harvey was up to last night. You'd have thought that at least one side of the family would have gone into a respectable business. After finishing up breakfast, she'll have a wander around town, in case anything is worth picking up. Woul...

I'm not quite sure what the issue is with that script. I'm pretty sure that NPC scripts only trigger once, so asking one for an input will just mess things up. Anyway, I took a stab at making a stairs script several years ago , but the main problem I ran into with it was that scripts are triggered o...

Felt the teleporter menu was a bit lacking as it was, so I threw in a background.

In spite of whatever foul things their newest party member was doing in the building, Rachelle was beyond ready to get some proper rest. 8 hours of sleep is a lot when you're used to getting by with 4 hours of a sleep substitute, after all. She'll bring up The Sublime Codex of Duna, just in case sh...

I'm pretty sure having a dead town's worth of carnexes is going to get suspicious, especially if people hear about that dead town thing.
I'm also pretty sure that Rachelle would find a (likely lethal) way to stop Kalar from doing that, though, seeing her general distaste of undead.
