In the olden days, ,and, and ,or, were the only options for plotscripting, so there are still tons of example scripts floating around that still use them. ,and, and ,or, are only equivalent to && and || when the values you are comparing are both really true/false When you want to be able to ...

Actually, doesn't rightclick+scroll increment/decrement in the wrong direction? I feel like moving the wheel away (scrolling up) should increase instead of decrease values. What do other people think? That sounds backwards to me. I imagine that there is an invisible number-line with the low numbers...

I'm thinking this thursday for the stable release The only thing on my list of must-get-done before then is to clean up the distrib scripts to make sure I am properly building and uploading both the linux 32bit and 64bit versions of the stable release. Yesterday I snuck in a small visual improvement...

I think in general it is better to make a map more densely packed with stuff rather than just making the map bigger. (something I still have to go back and fix in some of my own maps!) I really like the way you are using all these map-special abilities. It reminds me of Breath of Fire II's map abili...

I was about to say you should use a second tag to show that the first tags action has already completed... Then I looked again at your script, and saw you had already done exactly that!

So you are doing it the right way. Is it working okay?

I will have to check to be sure, but I think that yes, they were probably compiled with portable=1

EDIT: yes, I confirmed it. Compiled on a Debian jessie vm with:

Code: Select all

scons debug=0 gengcc=1 portable=1
ldd confirms that it is still linking to libtinfo 5

codename suggestions for the "e" stable release

The "d" stable release, dwimmercrafty is so close that I can taste it. (read about that here: https://www.slimesalad.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=130579) Now is a good time for people to suggest codenames for the next release after that. Naming Rules: * It should start with the letter "E...

Okay, I am now declaring the current nightly builds to be "release candidates" That means that they are more or less the same as what will become the dwimmercrafty stable release, possibly as soon as next thursday! Also, tmc, I know you are still busy-- is there anything special related to...

Yes, no icon support yet. I'll work on that later, but probably not before the next stable release

Nice! Thank you for playing :) I have only had time to watch the last few minutes so far, but I am happy to see you played the latest released version. (I also have a copy where you can fight Brickson the penguin Pirate, but it is not balanced properly, and nothing happens after that yet) EDIT: Watc...

Test 64-bit Linux packages for Wandering Hamster

I have been working on upgrading the "Distribute Game" menu to be able to export 64-bit linux packages. Previously it only supported 32 bit, which most people don't use anymore. https://i.imgur.com/Z9FGvhV.gif Would any of our friendly neighborhood Linux users be willing to test these for ...
