Pepsi Ranger's draft of his Powerstick Man Novel. (I think the first chapter is still available in the Powerstick Man XE zip file, for the curious) I am really having a good time with this one. Jimmy Knightly is a great character. It's actually inside the Legendary Edition (on this website only), b...

I work on Heroes through ubersetzung, whenever that was. I really hate the way the map editors are in the newer ones, I've complained before, but nobody thought they were big enough concerns to merit anything. Really? I can't remember. What were your complaints? I don't recall any huge map editor-r...

Final Fantasy X-2 was mentioned, but it bears repeating. Passible gameplay, but the plot, pacing, characters, and world were atrocious. And I *loved* X. I also sometimes was unable to see what my attacks did, because of camera issues. That should simply not happen. I haven't played it, but from wha...

Are OHR source edits acceptable? or can it be something aside from the standard OHR? I can field the first half of that question. Yes, source edits are allowed, but you should include a copy of your changes in order to comply with the GPL. The easiest way to do this is with svn diff > patch.txt and...

I want to second the notion that the color rules should be kept simple. A 16 color master palette with a 4-color (counting tranparency) limit for sprites and tiles. Seem like a good simple approximation of NES style, and then we can focus on making on fun games more than we focus on color rules. EDI...

The only doors in the sandstorm zone are the one you come from and the one that leads to the boss fight. I really don't like this area much, and am open to ways to improve it. Some tumbleweeds might be a nice touch, visually. Also, when I first saw the sandstorm, I assumed there would be a simple p...

Here is the logic behind it, such as it is. Most commands that make visual changes (like set hero picture) don't become visible until the screen gets repainted on the next tick. Fade screen out and fade screen in are somthing of freaks in this regard because they take effect immediately, without wai...
