I did some exploring last night and I can confirm that villages with NPCs, Nether Fortresses, and snow biomes are spawning. I can also confirm that I've built the world's ugliest plantation house and most creepered ranch. Yay! I am delighted to hear this (the NPC,s Nether fortresses, and snow biome...

Networking support has been requested before, and I have always rejected the suggestion. The OHRRPGCE has always been a single-player thing, and hacking in network support can't be a priority over other unfinished core features. More importantly, plotscripting has only one data type, the integer. Ma...

I don't have any direct access to the files on the server (hosted by multiplay.co.uk) My argument against restarting a new world (playing devil's advocate here) is because of the nifty constructions some people (including myself) have put a lot of time into, and because so far I have not heard any c...

I think there is a tool you can get to save chunks, so you won't lose everything. Yes, I did figure out how to save a backup copy of the map on the server, so if I do reset it to generate a new map I can put a copy of the old map up for people to download... but I still have no idea how to reset th...

Glow, Mogri, i have added your usernames. Let me know if it works. Also, if anybody gets an error message like "bad server key" it is just because of minecraft.net being overloaded. Whenever that happens to me I just try three or four times and then I get in. Jack: <s>Yeah, I probably shou...

The Minecraft server ( [server address was changed, now it is creeper.hamsterrepublic.com:26065] ) has now been updated to 1.0 I still kept the old world that we had going with 1.8. <s>Hopefully everything will still keep working. We will just have to explore a little further to find Strongholds, Sn...

Correct. Set only the max if you want to bonus to kick in after the end of the next battle, or set only the current if you want the bonus to disappear at the end of the next battle.

Yes. a "plotscript" script can be called from anywhere. A "script" script can only be called from other scripts. it will not show up in the script browser in custom. Here is another useful helper script. Since most of the time you use "set hero stat" together with "...

One way to simplify things is to make a helper script: script, set hero stat both, who, stat, value, begin set hero stat(who, stat, value, current stat) set hero stat(who, stat, value, maximum stat) end because it is much simpler to write: set hero stat both(f...

No, current stat and max stat has nothing to do with leveling up. For HP and MP, current and max should be obvious. For all other stats, the current stat is the value that is actually used, and the max stat is what the stat gets reset to after a battle ends. That means that if you are altering any s...

Mewmew is correct. Scripted stat bonuses do not make the hero's next level up bonus smaller. ncw64: No, you cannot adjust the level-up curve yet. You can change the numbers in the "Stat Growth Options" menu but those numbers are not actually used for anything yet. We decided we needed a di...

I found the first walljump area impossible when using up-arrow to jump. I had to switch to space bar for jumping to squeeze by there. Probably just my clumsy fingers, but yes, the walljump was too hard.

In my opinion, it's more likely the engine was first released in early 1998 than in 1997 (no one seems to remember). I was wondering myself when the 4 map limit was removed; there are no records for that either. I'll eventually work it out when I look into the bugs in reading maps from ancient game...
