Because I never miss a chance to harp on condorcet voting: I think we should use condorcet voting. =VOTE= Rank all games in order from favorite to least favorite. =COUNT= A) Count the top non-ignored game from every list. B) If nobody gets more than 50%, add the lowest ranking game to the temporary-...

I felt exactly the same way when I did laundry on Saturday. Bob Surlaw is a kindred spirit.

That sounds like a bug. I can test it on a Windows 7 machine on Monday and let you know if I get the same result.

I am also curious if this is a gfx backend bug. Try:

game.exe -gfx sdl -f

and see if it works. That will tell us if this is a gfx_directx problem or a general fullscreen problem.

Re: The Zipper, part 1

Anyway, in addition, we're short by a great many slimeballs. I'm going to try to work up <64> iron ingots to trade to James for <32> slime balls. (Reply to this if you want to bump either number up a notch) Oh, you don't have to pay me 2 iron for every slimeball. I will gladly accept 1 iron ingot f...

The server is running 1.2.2 now. I played for half an hour today, and was delighted to discover a Jungle. I guess Jeb listened to reason and changed his mind about disabling them on existing maps. The Jungle I found is far north of Mt. James. if you want to get there, tale the rail line from Mt Jame...

I wouldn't be able to play in real-time, but if we do another play-by-post, count me in.

I really enjoyed the first chapter of Spoonweaver's campaign.

I would be up for another campaign-- although I hope we wait until after the Random Collab Contest Week is over :)

I would be happy to see the finished first chapter moved/copied to a public subforum.

I think that it is okay. The community tends to review games that use non-orginal graphics more harshly, but I think that since the community is all made up of creative people who make games, we tend to judge all non-originality harshly. Don't let that deter you. I think if you have permission to us...

It is with trepidation that I join. I am worried about not having enough time to devote to the contest this week... but I'll try anyway! Count me in.

That's really amazing! Now might be a good time to start trying out mods! I am super reluctant to put mods on the server for several reasons: * Players cannot connect unless they install the mods too * Can't upgrade to new versions of Minecraft until the mods get updated too * I would lose my autom...

I agree with Surlaw. While making a new ending available is a great idea, tying it to difficulty level isn't a good idea. I remember that the world of Bloodlust was big enough, and the story was driven in such a way that I really felt like I was running for my life. Most RPGs encourage in me a desir...

CUSTOM now supports a new and much simpler palette format than the old one that PalEdit works with. Go to "Edit General Game Data" and then go to "Master Palettes". Pick "Export this palette" A 16x16 pixel 24-bit BMP will be exported with one palette color in each pixel...

Quite unrelated, but I've just discovered this mod: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/892282-11-computercraft-121/ I haven't tried it (or any mod for that matter!), but it looks very interesting. I could imagine it being an excellent pedagogical tool for basic programming concepts. If computercra...
