I once spent three days and initiated the help of James and TMC trying to get an irregular slope to work in a manner like you want, and none of us could get it perfect. In the end I had to give control back to the plotscript just to make sure the game was still playable. You mean that sandy undergr...

Sadly though, it's nowhere near playtesting stage. None of the attacks are balanced We can help with this if someone makes a map specifically for testing battles, where one is able to battle any enemy and adjust their party at will. Even if you don't get anyone else to do this, I'd highly recommend...

I don't think you need to invest anything on improving your sprites, they're actually pretty damn good considering the average OHR game's quality level. Especially considering the little scripting tricks you're implementing - fading foregrounds and dynamic lighting. Way to go, man, seriously. What c...

7 - Sprites are big and ugly. Everything takes up too much of the screen, leaving barely any room to maneuver. Rockman 7 FC should be right up your alley then. A creative team "ported" Megaman 7 to the "Famicom", and overall it feels and plays very smoothly. I had a lot of fun w...

Wow, short is right. Just 4 bars. There's really not much I can comment on, but I'll do what I can. It sounds okay, I can't hear anything inherently "wrong" in it, but this is not something I would want to hear by itself in a video game. If it were to remain as is, looping forever, I'd hav...

Do you guys have your own minecraft server or something? O_o Yes, we do. I hoped that would have been obvious to newcomers. To make sure there's no confusion, I'm changing the original post to lay out this fact in no uncertain terms. PM James for the server IP and to get whitelisted! We always welc...

I'd say you did a good job with that! The point of walkabouts is to have a simple representation of whatever character you're depicting, usually super-deformed with an oversized head as was the norm for SNES RPGs. Yours has slightly more realistic proportions, and that's fine, it looks good. You've ...

Wha ha ha! That's incredible. Wozzeck's new cathedral sticks out like a sore thumb. The Starlight Stonghold, Keble and Oxford, Giz's super farm, they all look great. And, hey! I see a lone portal at the top of a distant mountain range! I think that's where I got lost and left a bunch of treasure mon...

Let me append my comment earlier, I had trouble in the exact same spot as the OP, but I was running everything in Windows Vista, using the game.exe included with Walthros. I now run Windows 7, though, so I can't go back and test that. I'm glad to see Surlaw has noticed this thread. To clarify, there...

Yes, I've encountered that exact same problem. Several years ago, in fact. This is why I've never finished Walthros to see that spectacular ending everyone was bragging about back in the day.

It's kind of distressing that this error is still around. I wonder what the deal is.

Unfortunately I can't do much with that, it's the edges and slopes that are giving me trouble. I appreciate the thought though, could be I'll find another use for it.
And I had no idea Apophenia was an actual word! The more you know~

I will have no objections to "Apophenia" if you give us a pronunciation guide. I stumbled on it during my video playthrough last time. Also, does it have anything to do with the game itself, or its story? I may end up renaming Viridia , myself; it was the name of a spiritual being who I ha...

I'm very tempted to call your project an Okedoke sequel or spin-off, largely because the art style feels very familiar and because of Snr. Rialgo. Of course, your visual style is your visual style, and any game you do art for will have that feel to it, but because Okedoke is your most well-known gam...
