Well, if nothing else, doing a clean, careful resize in MS Paint usually works. So, your game is a multiverse, not just a universe? Does it involve intergalactic and/or time travel? Regardless, I'm sure you're capable of scanning over all the details and gleaning out the ones that apply to this char...

I agree with BMR on all those things. But Phoenix's Phoenix is comprised of the 8-bit 4-color palette, so it would actually fit in one of the first 3 Final Fantasies pretty well. Master K, don't be so hard on yourself! If this is the direction your pixel art is taking, I'm totally on board with it. ...

Re:NeoSpade Looks awesome! I look forward to seeing what you submit. Also I mistook the long string in the dock screenshot for a fishing line. Maybe you can actually catch fish with it? Kiira looks an awful lot like a character I've been working on for a while - a coincidence, certainly, but I have ...

I like it! It looks more like a ribbon-bird than a fire-bird to me, so its design could use a bit more fiery details. Maybe you could just surround it in fire. Of course, if it's actively flinging fireballs and inferno flames at me every second in battle, I'll get the message even without the extras...

With your latest response in mind, I'll wait until the next release to delve any deeper into this game. There are definitely some things that I noticed in my first impression of the game that I would like to see fixed or changed, and these are all relatively easy and feasible: -Put some effort into ...

it was about one and a half years ago that I released that version Sheesh, really? No wonder you didn't upload it to the Slime Salad game list. In hindsight, the sign posts are pretty hilarious, and I'll think back on them fondly, but it's not something that should go right into the beginning of a ...

I think music should be a very low priority for you at this point. I've been playing Ar-Puh-Guh as I promised, but the game itself is making it unusually hard on me. If there's one thing I've learned during my half hour of playing (ed.: I am not done, I'm going to try to play it to its end), it's th...

Does this story feature a ton of branches? If so, this might be a useful tool for you to help keep things organized visually.

Don't spend too much time with it, though! I'm still eagerly awaiting the first demo.

I like that idea, and hadn't considered it before. Thanks, Mogri! Oh, but wait, you said random encounters. How much would be changed if encounters were mostly triggered by interaction with map NPCs, creating a number of situations where battles can be avoided entirely? I'm thinking of something lik...

The castle was made in Creative mode. Still took me like four days to finish, though! And now for a hilarious construction blooper: at one point I accidentally made one of the stone brick walls out of Silverfish blocks instead. I started to break it apart to fix it when they exploded all over the p...

Jesus, did I ever get carried away with this one
My unfinished game is unfinished because I can't won't and don't devote 100% of my life to it. Been working on it for about 2 years straight now. This is a false explanation. None of us are devoting our entire lives to our games. Not even people in the gaming industry do this unless they're crazy a...

I rather like what you've done with the portrait there. I do wonder why she's wearing the ninja face cover in her walking sprites but not in her portrait. I also wonder how in the world said portrait conforms to the 16-color limit. Could you provide the palette that you used for her? I'd like to see...
