It'd be a pain to need to work around the default screen fade. I considered doing custom NES-style fading for Curse of Vampire, but decided it wouldn't be worth the effort.

BTW, Machu, "Kayvon" who we were playing with tonight is my brother. He bought the game yesterday (!) after the play-for-free weekend last week.

Does anyone know anything about those promotions? I only heard of it because of him, but it'd be nice to get more of SS in on the action for free.

Didn't you used to suck at graphics? Those house graphics look like they're ripped from a Tales of game and the rocks look like they're straight out of FF6. The last screenshot is the least impressive and only looks like early SNES commercial quality, maybe a Lufia game.
