I'm thinking about translating at least the attack descriptions.

What's the plan for distribution? To me, that's more important than what's included. Even awful games would generate interest if promoted well.

I added a Portuguese readme to the Darkmoor zip. If we get a sudden influx of Brazilians to the board... uh, don't look at me.

I just did and came up with this: http://www.ziggi.com.br/downloads/darkmoor-dungeon This site is not only garish but broken. Everything is rated 2 stars. The only download link is a direct link, though there's also a Slime Salad link. http://baixaki.ig.com.br/site/dwnld52982.htm This is the site I ...

I just added the following text to the top of the Darkmoor Dungeon page:
Learn how to make your own games like Darkmoor Dungeon! Register here at Slime Salad and ask us how. It's easy and fun. Best of all, it's completely free!
Will it work? Who knows?

Oh, hey.

"ensignuraki" is our own Newbie Newtype.

(edit) I do find it a little hard to believe that 10% of that video's viewers went on to download Darkmoor

33.5 levels finished so far! Here's a sneak peek at the next few: http://www.slimesalad.com/forum/files/timpoline0001_130.png What's this? Haven't I seen this somewhere before? http://www.slimesalad.com/forum/files/timpoline0002_201.png That floor looks slippery! And Shock Balls everywhere! Is -- is...

Wiz is MultiColoredWizard, or MCW for short. His screen name on these forums is misterj. (edit) Anyway, speaking of exposure, take a look at the Darkmoor download count! I don't know how it happened, but it did. Maybe the best way to attract new blood is to advertise your games. (Granted, no one has...

Do you have any suggestions? The slowdown ones are pretty obvious from the moment you get them as are the swap ones. The jumper powerup isn't obvious until you jump, but that's the whole basis of one of the very first levels (5?), so it's not hard to figure out either. The lifekits are probably the ...

"Lady of curses" is in-game text -- well, almost. It describes her as a "lady of foul curses." It's pretty clear that the reviewer understands enough English to play the game and is writing his review as he goes.

I get downloads

I don't know what I did. I mean, I remember advertising in a few external forums somewhere, but it never amounted to much. Most-downloaded games *Darkmoor Dungeon by Mogri (3126) *Vikings of Midgard by Fenrir-Lunaris (141) *Final Fantasy H by Fenrir-Lunaris (125) *Blasphemous Saga Fantasy (Di...

Aha, no wonder you're having problems with the level. The lifekits are hidden on the left side of the large rectangular block, exactly where you'd find the roast in that Castlevania level. Map Maybe this is unfair to those who haven't played Castlevania? But I like the reference and it's possible fo...

(Topic re-split. It's the incredible splitting topic!) My stance is that you can make a quality game in a month or less. You might not be able to make your dream game, but you can make some pretty cool stuff. Look at the recent 8-bit contest, for example. Long-term projects are great. I have a few o...
