A lot of people just use http://www.vgmusic.com. It's less effort than creating your own and less frowned-upon than ripping graphics.

If you want to create your own music, I use Winjammer, but it's no longer in production. I hear good things about Anvil Studio.

He might be counting legendaries, which aren't allowed in almost any format.

The main character himself looks kind of awful, but the rest of the graphics are at least passable.

Yeah, I like that a lot better. The flavor tiles are great.

The clothesline with the yellow thing (towel?) doesn't appear to be attached on the right side, but this is ignorable in a mockup. The biggest problem with the tiles now is that there's too much street.

The top border of the lower right building looks odd. At the back, it's the beige color, but in front, it's tiled.

Horrible eye-burning contrast! It's like the houses are made of nuclear materials. Either lighten the brown or darken the light parts.
