Yeah, I'll take the roll. Chances are good it won't change anything anyway.

Unattended, nonmagical metal gets no saving throw. An item in a creature’s possession uses the creature’s saving throw bonus unless its own is higher.

Items items items items items. Let's talk about items. We're not breaking new ground here: the item types are weapons, armor, rings, scrolls, and potions. Okay, scrolls are called tomes, but same thing, right? Weapons and armor have a chance to be generated with a prefix and/or suffix. These tend to...

The others are talking. Why are they talking? There are disgusting vermin here for us to kill. Holy Saint Akbar al-Akbar lays his blade into the nearest one.

Flavor nitpick: Holy Saint Akbar al-Akbar is holding a shield and cannot perform a two-handed attack.

Rules clarification: I didn't see you roll to confirm the kobold's crit. Did you do it secretly or do I not understand the crit rules?

I touched up the newt and am much happier with the newer incarnation. The slime is bog-standard (and yet pleasantly round!), while the bat is required, since the game will have caves.

"Filthy vermin! Stay away from Brother Beardthar!" Holy Saint Akbar al-Akbar moves to the space south of Beardthar and attacks the kobold to his west.

Yes, those are quite usable (or would be in the proper BMP format). Here is the current bestiary: http://www.slimesalad.com/files/64d-monsters.png The later ones make the earlier ones look bad, but OH WELL. Bound to happen when you're settling into a style, I think. I don't mind making some of the m...

Thanks for the response, guys! It means a lot to me. If I was going to draw more for you, how would you want them? are they in the first two slots of each walkabout? the two down slots of each walkabout? Are they packed 4 to a walkabout? Are you using the default master palette, or some other? I hav...

Thanks for deciding to read more about my game-in-progress! I've been taking a break from map gen lately to work on items. Today, though, I'd like to talk about the dungeon-level game flow . If you've played a roguelike before, you know that the enemies don't move until you do. That's true here as w...
