Who the hell picked that giant Pork city TWICE? Haha, the double Ganon punch was the best moment, or maybe a few of the explosions where 2 people (often including me) went flying. Tonight might be a possibility for me, not sure.

I'm glad I killed by the super fart. Pick NEEDS TEXT FOR HIS TAUNTS.

Chaining and storing during spreads

I don't think this is currently possible, so this may as well be a feature request, but I wanted to make sure first, in case I haven't thought of something particularly clever. Basically I want to be able to have spread attacks that chain to attacks that only affect the targets that were hit (not mi...

Not sure if it matters, but I forgot to mention that this is not the default nightly. It is SDL for graphics and Native for music. I never use any but this, due to MIDI issues with the other backends.

CtrlD broken?

In the new nightly (Aug 26) it seems that on the map editor, CTRL+D no longer turns off default passability. This is easy to workaround by choosing to have def pass off by default (then I can toggle fine). But seems weird!

Not really. You'd have to have a continuous background script, but any time that another script interrupted it and used ticks during the 'loop' point you'd have a hiccup.

This is all about trying our best to have smooth, professional sounding music on the OHR. See Bugs 469 and 846 in Bugzilla.

Yes, it seems to work correctly now. Internet Explorer hasn't really caused any problems for me, but I suppose I may switch some day.

Internet Explorer. And JSH, I thought that spoiler tags should make it so that the text is invisible from the getgo. Right now I can read all spoilers until I drag my mouse over them to make them disappear.

Um, sorry to be the rain on the barbecue, but these new spoiler things show up and stay visible when I load the page. Only once I hover my mouse over them do they disappear, then I have to hover again to make them reappear. Is this what they are supposed to do?

I finally had some extra time to read this this morning. I thought it was a pretty good issue. I enjoyed the game design philosophy article, and the Dogero article was practically in the same vein. I'm glad we've got this series going. And while I wish there was a bit more content, I'm glad that eve...

Oh, I see! We didn't have "close scripts" when I was doing Tales 2, so what I did (I'm pretty certain) was to not allow menues (besides the main menu) to be cancelled by ESC, and instead write a separate menu choice "cancel" for closing the menu and bringing back the main menu. W...

Isn't there a bitset for having menu selections close their current menu? I think this should be enough for what you're describing, but I have to admit that I'm pretty tired at the moment.

I found the OHR by searching on yahoo or google for "Make your own RPG", or something like that. I continue to use it because I think the interface is great. I LOVE that I can do everything VERY easily WITHOUT having to touch the mouse. I miss this about Notate. I guess this is me disagree...

Having posted negatively about mercs up to this point, I will point out a potential positive. I think mercs offer a strong replay-value possibility for an RPG. Most of my anti-merc comments stem from, as the player, not knowing how my core party will be affected by hiring the merc. On a 2nd playthro...

Although Newbie's argument may often be the case, it is not necessarily true. As the player, I don't know how much EXP the merc is going to soak up, because even if he tells me how long he is staying, I don't know what that means in terms of potential levelling. It depends on the game, as always. Bu...
