Is there a way to force the engine to display elemental weakness/resist/absorb the way it used to without indicating percentage numbers? In games that are still being worked on, this is easy to fix. Just go into the global text strings and change the weakness/resistance strings from "$D damage...

Hmm... when I first heard about this I had no idea what I'd make, but now I've got a couple of ideas popping into my head here and there. And oddly enough, they'd both have the exact same rap song as background music for at least one scene. No idea if I'll actually stay interested long enough to get...

Finally got around to downloading and playing the other fangame contest entry. I've never heard of the game it's fangame-ing, so I have no idea how similar it is, but... Why are the elements all Pokémon types? As far as I can tell the game has nothing to do with Pokémon, so this is kind of confusing...

You could fix the "hole in the ground you can go into" thing by having the one-use NPCs set a tag that causes another (non-usable) NPC to appear in their place. That would mean you'd need to have multiple "this is spagghetti" text-boxes, though, because otherwise getting one woul...

Lots of bugs in the Weegee game. 1: In the Subcon-looking area, you can walk down below the one patch of grass that's actually a Spagghetti item after you get it. 2: Spagghetti doesn't seem to work in battle; I tried using it once or twice and got no effect from it, though I lost the item anyway. It...

I'll probably download and check it out sometime later, but for now just a random question... have the "Jump" animations for attacks been fixed yet? The last time I tested out a game with jump attacks (using the somewhat-old February 20-somethingth nightly that I've been using for a while)...

Yeah, lots of Okédoké reviewing has been done already. XD Of course, it's also pretty much the only game of mine that's gotten much attention review-wise. If you want to review one of my games, there's always The Kirby Lands (if you want to play an old crappy game, anyway) and the 2006 Frankfurter's...

Yeah, but going to a textbox for the HP/MP-restoring part also brings up a textbox, which doesn't normally happen when you use a regular healing item and might look a little weird. I guess it could work if it was a small box with "HP/MP restored!" or something along those lines, but... oh ...

Depends on the game for me. I really like making the maps for Okédoké, Puckamon and... another game I've been working on that I haven't actually told anyone about yet. But making the maps has been a real pain in the slime in Fnrrf Ygm Schnish: Alleghany Hell School, for some odd reason. I guess part...

this is more of a composite character, taking what I like most from each iteration of Luigi. I've probably given away too much here already. The description in the spoiler box sounds good to me. Mario/Luigi are at least a little different in pretty much every game (or at least every series), so jus...

Please don't feel that game with horrible jokes that aren't even jokes. ...you mean Internet memes? But anyway, yeah... based on the screenshots so far, the Luigi game is actually looking a lot better than I expected it to. The "platformer-RPG" thing is a neat idea (though it'd probably b...

Now that I think of it, I've never actually done a "flat green for grass" grass tile in any of my games. Of course, I haven't gotten around to even starting on grass tiles for Fnrrf Ygm Schnish: Alleghany Hell school yet, so I might try that out. But yeah, "grass/floor/etc. tiles shou...

Maybe I am misremembering, but I thought this was fixed already. Are you using the nightly builds or ypsiliform? Currently I'm using a nightly from... late February 2011, I think. Right after the new elemental stuff was added in. As far as I can tell, there's no way to change what colors are used f...

GBC pallettes? That's what I was talking about when I mentioned the "semi-colorized" GBC/Super Game Boy palettes, yeah. Not sure how I'd go about putting the palette-switching part in the game, though considering that it is basically a Pokémon game it would probably make the most sense to...

Whoops! Just noticed I left some questions unanswered on here since I haven't checked this thread in so long... LOVED the I AM A FRENCH MAN. Seriously. Hilarious. The Team Sputnik songs were well timed, too. Maybe having someone(s) sing the songs, though? If you're suggesting actually recording some...
